  1. Which the Cubs don't need in the playoffs. I'd be really surprised if Z didn't start game 1.
  2. Baseknock for ARAM. Let's take a couple on.
  3. In all fairness, Ted Lilly was probably our ace/most consistent player last year and Z still started game 1. I don't disagree with your thoughts, but I don't think Lou is going to wait until game 3 to pitch Z. Maybe game 2, but not beyond that.
  4. Kinda like how Zambrano imploding in Game 1 of last yr's NLDS...........no wait, he didn't implode and he gave the Cubs a chance to win Game 1. I agree that I don't want Zambrano start Game 1, but it's not because he's a "headcase" and would "implode" but because the Cubs have good depth in the rotation and Lou really doesn't have to rearrange the rotation for the playoffs. Lou actually pulled Z too early in Game 1 last year. He was the best pitcher on the mound that day.
  5. Poor Reds catcher..........that's alot of man coming at you.
  6. Running the squeeze on LaRussa................... gotta love that! 5-0
  7. WOOOOOOOOOOOO! DERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's clinch this thing!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I hope the Cubs/Cards keep the pace going quickly. I'd feel more comfy if we were up a couple innings. Should be close though.
  9. Lilly's looking good today. (On the mound not up to bat.)
  10. ARAM has really improved his defense since coming over from Pittsburg.
  11. What numbers? It's just record so look at the standings.
  12. I'm hoping Mets, but no Marlins/D-backs is fine with me. We can take anyone in the NL right now, but I'd feel way more comfortable facing the Phillies in a 7 game series than a 5 game series. Exactly. Me too. Having to face Hamels twice in a 5 game series is not cool. Why are we afraid of the Marlins? It's just a '03 thing. I don't want to see the Marlins in the playoffs. (I think we'd stomp them, but I'd rather not see them.) The Marlins killed us last year, and gave us all we could handle this year. They just have our number. I want no part of them in the postseason again. That too. No Marlins in the playoffs is GRRRRRRREAT!
  13. Of the teams out there, that is definitely the worst case scenario. I would like the Mets or Dodgers, but since Milwaukee is incapable of winning games, I think that it is safe to say that we will face philly or new york. Thing is, they'll be fighting for the division title the next couple of weeks while we'll be able to rest our starters, so we have an advantage. Plus Milwaukee would get to face the Iowa Cubs in the last three games of the season. :D Yeah, I can't wait to see what the starting pitching is the last few games. I would think Lou would want all players rested.

  16. Through the legs. He looked like Braun there. We'll take it though.
  17. I've got lots of 1st rounders and can't keep them all. Anyone with points can let me know. I'll be trading for draft picks since I don't have any anymore.
  18. The great thing about the NL this year is that we will pretty much do both at once. In fact, we potentially could do both at once if, say, we lose one of the next two games and Philly does the same. It's certainly possible. With so few games remaining it won't take much. The division is locked up any day now and it would be nice if HFA was taken care of ASAP afterwords (or at the same time). To be able to set-up our rotation, give Harden some extra rest, etc. It would be a great advantage to the Cubs.
