There are so many dirty plays where this explanation would at least be plausible: elbow to the back of the head, cleats to the back of the leg, head butt, the list goes on and on. Biting has to be premeditated, doesn't it? And all of these plays can be reviewed by Fifa as well. Suarez was stupid in even commenting on this, only makes him look more guilty. A decision on Suarez has to be made before Saturday (Uruguay's next game) Its going to happen quickly.

Yep, should be fun. At least a lot more fun than the other quarter decided: Netherlands-Mexico and Costa Rica-Greece. The thought of a Mexico-Costa Rica quarter final makes me a little sick. Holland better not blow it.

Im just happy CR are going to win the group. Picking between Uruguay and Italy is not something I want to do. Screw both of them. I would pay to have Suarez throw some racial insult at Balotelli just to see the death match that would follow.

AKA ESPN probably should have gone harder on the TV bid for the next two. Hopefully Fox learns how to promote the games as well as ESPN has this Cup.

You have to think that has a lot to do with who had the ball don't you? That would equate to amateur hour defending. Eight guys watching the ball and not their man when your sole job is to get back.

Brazil v Chile will be a fun matchup. I will take great pleasure in seeing the Dutch eliminate Mexico should they make it past Croatia.

Not good news at all, since their defense blows and Ghana will probably crush them. That's the other side. I know, it sucks. We can hang with and beat Germany. Having Yedlin and Brooks play key roles in the WC is something I never thought would happen.

By a million. I thought I read somewhere that a tie was the optimal outcome? More optimal to win the group maybe? Ill take the scenario where a USA draw knocks out Ghana and leaves Portugal on life support (would need a win, USA loss, and make up a 5 goal deficit over USA). This. A German win and US draw puts us both through. Edit: that's not completely true. Just likely.

I didn't know Hristo Stoichkov was a commentator for Univision. I had forgotten about him and how much of a badass he was. He was what I had wished Clint Mathis would turn into it.

I like that Texas has their ace going tonight but only giving up 1 run the past 3 games has me worried they are due for an off day. Just win tonight.
