I think the Angels can go ahead and start their magic number. I would say 20 would be ok assuming the Cubs have at least a 3 game lead in the division. At 20 you could theoritically win it in 10 days. I don't like magic numbers, but it's no where as bad as counting outs.

I figure he should get the call within the next 10 days to be eligible for the Rays post season roster and one of the reasons I would not want to face them in the World Series.

Actually, there is no stalemate. It's been resolved. Some people just refuse to believe the truth. I guess I missed it, what was the resolution? I am right. :) Well I knew that from the beginning :-). Still confused from the other 20 posts that had nothing useful what so ever. -

It's just a slow process not to mention one that is not very public. Now that the 2nd round has begun they have a full copy of the books. I am guessing it will take a month to cover all of that.

I'd guess it was similar to the Greek baseball team in '04, grandparent born Germany. They talked about this during the opening ceremonies, countries are basicly paying athletes to play for them. There really are no rules against this, even if you competed for another country in the past.

I think if the deductions were made public, it would at least be more open to understanding. Exactly what I have been thinking. Then again that makes it more difficult for the IOC to fix events.

Sadly Joe Nathen is getting no credit as having one of the best seasons in recent memory as a closer. I would take him over any closer in the league and over Marmol. -
No, why would it be? How can you represent another country if you don't live there? Because that country doesn't have professional services that will make them the money they are now making. So you are saying the NBA should field a team against a team from a league in Greece,Spain, etc? If I live in England for work does that change who I am?

seriously? no, the jamaicans complained about being bloodtested 3x a day leading up to trackandfield as they should be tested. they're from jamaica, there's virtually no kind of enforcement there. Weed shouldn't male them any faster.

By that time the Cubs and Brewers could have the playoffs clinched. Then it becomes a pissing match. Who do the Cubs want to face in the NLDS and is it worth going balls out to get it? It's more about setting up your rotation for the playoffs. I would rather just have home field.
