  1. I guess the fight would explain why he was leaving. Though he probably could've just gone to another "wing" of his house and avoided her for days. But that doesn't explain the accident and possible charges. If not booze, then ... drugs?
  2. That was a dud of a game. Plenty of chances, just slightly off with everything. And I hate to say it, but Buff was not skating. I don't know how many times I noticed him dogging it out there this afternoon. I know it's going to happen over the course of a season, but it was pretty obvious.
  3. They are probably thinking they wish we didn't have at least 6 players better than anyone on their roster.
  4. Uhhh, hello. He played 20 whole games with them. The thing that gets me is they should be screaming their frickin' heads off for him to cheer him signing with us because it led to them signing Boyle. I think the Hawks made clear they are the frontrunner in the WC at this point.
  5. These idiot fans are cheering a rush. I have absolutely no respect for these fans. Their booing of Campbell is embarassingly stupid.
  6. Uh-oh, the comeback is on!
  7. Well Huet put up a good fight, but that was bound to happen.
  8. I don't mean to nitpick, but that's not a penalty. EDIT: Okay, the second one was. The refs are going to cost Huet his SO.
  9. I suppose it's worth nothing that the Hawks have outscored the Bears when they played in the Bay Area a few weeks ago.
  10. I can't see us losing to Anaheim, but LA might be a tough one, but they could easily win them both. At this point, it's just like last year when they started the trip 3-0. Everything after that gets to be gravy. Win one of the next two and it's a massive success. Win both? I wish I could be at the UC on Tuesday when they hit the ice. HAHAHA! Foley: "Hawks add the extra point!"
  11. No kidding. From earlier commentary in the thread... I agree that San Jose is basically a one line team. If you can control Thornton/Marleau/Heatley, you can beat this team. Take a look at their goal scoring -- 47% of their total goals (including d-men goals) come from that line: 44 to 39. That's not good. Right. But here's the scary part. Given those stats, you'd think it would be 2/7 constantly out there against that line. But it hasn't been. I was shocked a few times to see Q put 4/5 out there to start a PK against them. And they shut it down! Sopel? Yeah! Even he is getting it done. This team is scary good right now.
  12. Sassone was on to something after all. I didn't think Hossa would fit in this quickly. But I don't think I knew how good he is.
  13. OH BABY! That should be illegal.
  14. HAHAHAHAHA! Eat that, SJ. Guess they didn't want to wait until the playoffs to choke in a big game this year.
  15. This is a masterpiece in nearly every way.
  16. Three and a half to gametime! Can't believe I'm this excited about a game in November. Have Sabres/Caps to hold me over, at least.
  17. Great opening line to Sassone's latest blog post about the Hawks: http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/2972
  18. Sweet lord no.
  19. Yeah, you do. I'm going to have a house full of people, but come 9:30 they better clear out of the TV room. But I hope there isn't a huge letdown in the play, with the expectations for this one.
  20. I was going to post, "they had me at walleye-on-a-stick." That sounds exceptional. Only went to the old Metrodome once. It was terrible except that Santana had 18 Ks that day. Looking forward to checking this place out next summer.
  21. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/chi-25-blackhawks-chicago-nov25,0,7954269.story *Commence drool sequence* Toews-Kane-Hossa on one line starting tonight.
  22. ^Which gives Turner license to call the ugly offensive game he is dying to call. But it won't matter. Hanie may well be starting next week after Cutler's funeral.
  23. Well, I guess the Bulin Wall didn't just have the "Chicago flu," as Pat and Eddie called it the other night. And I also guess Deslauriers isn't as bad as he looked. Shut out Phoenix last night.
  24. Let's get it going. I'm 5-6 in a four-way tie for 4th (top 4 make playoffs). Luckily I have over 150 more points than anyone I'm tied with. Regardless, I need a win. I'm concerned about Warner. Even if he plays, should I go with Hasselbeck @ St. Louis? My other option isn't really an option (Cutler). In my other league I have to decide between Hester's ass or Garcon. Leaning toward Garcon.
  25. I'm not sure if Stan is more revered in St. Louis than Ted Williams was in Boston. But, St. Louis obviously is a baseball town. Although, I'd read that when Shanahan was at his peak in popularity as a Blue, there were a record number of boys born in St. Louis named Brendan. But were they born to other guy's wives?
