That was me. I didn't realize that about his +/-, but it doesn't surprise me at all. He is the very definition of a "contract year" player. Except for the first part of this year, his motivation was to make the olympic team. When that didn't happen, he went back to giving half-effort or worse. He coasts all the time, especially on the forecheck. It's inexcusable. Campbell sucks, but I agree that if he's out we're in a lot of trouble. Hendry and Sopel cannot be a defensive pairing against San Jose or Vancouver. Not to mention that any additional defensive weakness only serves to put our shitty goaltending under an even bigger microscope. This is the first time since he was hired that I am questioning Q's ability to get the most of his this team. The production and dominance of the first line is still there, but after that, you've got too much dead weight. Sharp, Hossa and Madden have played well lately on the lower-down lines. Other than that, there are a lot of non-hackers out there.
