    This comes from what essentially amounted to the "anonymous tips" (from 2019) section of the latest info dump, and the vast majority of them could not be substantiated, or contain contradictory or flat out incorrect info (for example: the internet is running wild with the story that Jay-Z was "in the Epstein files," but it stems from a tip claiming that Jay-Z was molesting women with Harvey Weinstein in Epstein's mansion...in 1996. 1996 Jay-Z wasn't hanging out with movie producers and billionaires; dude was just getting started with Reasonable Doubt). Basically there's nothing connecting Sosa to any of this except this one tip from 2019 that couldn't be verified.

    Look, I have no idea the last time I listened to an AM channel, but a quick glance at the radio stations available here there's at least 2 dozen AM stations in my area, so SOMEONE is listening to it. Like, you just jumped in to the middle of people mourning the death of a host from Chicago's biggest sports station.

    The dude had achilles and elbow issues after 2003. The Cubs handled it poorly.

    Right. Like, what kind of nonsense is it to talk like, "we want our best pitcher to be able to pitch" and "gee, maybe the Cubs should have been a bit more careful whenever possible in the same season the guy horsefeathered up his shoulder in a bad collision" are incompatible ideas? Or talking about the bullpen like it was impossible for the Cubs to do anything about it!

    Gee, it's almost as it would be better if teams were run by people smarter than the average meatball.

    Like, you look at the timeline of Prior's injuries/DL stints, and to walk away with the conclusion of "it was written in the stars that he would fall apart" is just bonkers. Nope, couldn't at all be a dude horsefeathers with his mechanics/approach to offset the issues from a serious injury that his team decided to treat like he just had to rub some dirt on it. IT WAS FATE.

    Yeah, Prior being lumped in with a bunch of prospects that basically amounted to nothing in the bigs just feels wrong. Like, Prior actually showed up an performed and was the real deal...he just couldn't stay healthy due to a series of freak injuries and overwork. He's waaaaaaaaaaaay closer to being a Kris Bryant Story than the busts being listed off here. And the whole "Prior fell apart because he stopped using steroids" thing is so dumb. It all stems from him having big calves.
