    I don't care if his name does come up. Bonds should be in the HOF. So should Clemens and McGwire and Sosa. We need to stop acting like sniveling children in denial and treating this game like it's some kind of pure institution that was tainted by steroids in the 90's and early 00's.

    A guy busts his career home run average of 37 four times after the age of 32, including having his career HR-year at age 37. Yeah, he's clean.

    So does the game of baseball in general. I really don't see the point in flipping out over someone using a corked bat when most players are doing every little thing they can to gain an advantage. It's part of baseball. Keeping someone out of the hall for that would be like keeping out one of the best pitchers of an era because he got caught once with sandpaper. Like I said, he got caught for the bat and was suspended. That shouldn't keep him out. Like it or not, nothing and nobody has come even remotely close to busting him when it comes to steroids. That doesn't mean he didn't use them, but for now he should be judged based on his performance. The corked bat should have negligable impact in that regard since use of them over his career would have been detrimental to his numbers.

    5 Guys. In & Out is definitely good, but the burgers aren't as big or filling as the ones from 5 Guys, plus the 5 Guys' fries are worth it by themselves. The In & Out fries are just typical fries.

    Which actually doesn't help hitters. lol...which one?...because the last time i checked they both did Numerous studies have shown that corked bats generally don't improve hitting, especially in regards to power. At the most it's going to increase the speed of the swing, but it still ultimately comes down to the hitter's eye and timing so that's arguably a wash. Besides, he got caught, he served his time. Done and done, plus it's unlikely he was using them before the downward slide after the shattered helmet. Uh, yeah. "Generally" was me being generous. Corked bats and their like are actually detrimental more often than not to a hitter, especially a power hitter, since the cork inside actually allows the bat to absorb more of the energy from the ball. The only "benefit" from them is being able to swing quicker, though that could be accomplished with a legit lightened bat that won't absorb the energy from the ball and kill the distance of your hits. And argue the "unlikely" part besides using the bold function. Sammy wouldn't have had the numbers he had if he was using corked bats.

    I don't think "catching fire" in the second half is too much of a worry considering he's been hitting quite well again for at least a month now.

    You don't like Chris Robinson hitting about .380 at Iowa? I do, but I'm skeptical that he's going to keep that up, given that his BABIP is insanely high and that he rarely walks. I've got him neck and neck with Clevenger as the top catching prospect in the system, but I don't think he's ready. I don't believe he can maintain that .384 .400 .528 line either. Though right now he's probably better defensively than fatsoto. At this point I still have faith in Geo, but it's slipping. I am starting to get more the feeling that this year will be a disaster for him, and that he will see the light and right the ship in the offseason (figure out the issues, lose some weight, etc) and come back better than ever next year. Not a very hopeful scenario, but it is what it is at this point. I'd prefer if he'd just lose the weight ASAP since there's 4 freakin' months and over 100 games left in the season. There's no reason for him or anyone else to figure that out after the season.

    Why? It might actually get us an ok live arm from A ball that way. And it's not Rich's fault that there was no spot here. Yeah, Cubs fans should be rooting for him to do well since it'll improve the return we get for him. I've seen people talk about getting "bothing at all," and that's not the case.

    One of Miles or Blanco needs to stay. Having only 3 middle infielders isn't the best move when you're counting on some of those guys to be able to back up 3rd, too. If it's a choice of Miles or Blanco than it should definitely be Blanco. Neither can hit but at least Blanco can play SS so that Theriot doesn't turn to dust the 2nd half of the season. Agreed. If they could somehow shed Miles and his contract, I would be very happy.

    I refuse to vote just for this reason. It would be comparable to creating a poll asking who the best baseball player of all time is, and leaving Babe Ruth off the list. For those of you that are not familiar with In n Out, that's all they do. When you get there, there is no need to stare at the menu for 15 minutes wondering what to order. They make a hamburger or a cheeseburger. That's it. The waiting lines to get through the drive through are always 10+ cars deep, whereas many other places you can zip right through with no wait. If you want a chicken sandwich, go somewhere else. You won't get one at In n Out. In n Out, the Babe Ruth of burgers. Same at 5 Guys.

    Guys, I think you're really overlooking all the little things this guy brings to the team. He's a gamer, and he never says die. When the bright lights shine on him in October (and they will), he's going to be leading the charge.

    The last week: .333 .529 .333 .863 That slugging is hideous, but all in all that's not even remotely close to being someone who needs to be benched or sent down.

    This guys is amazing. I really think between his dazzling defense and how he tries hard at every bat with off the charts grit is really going to motivate this team to put it together. He's not like those gloryhounds like Fox who only care about padding stats and don't care if the team wins or loses. UP WITH BLANCO. DOWN WITH FOX.

    The closest Fox will ever be to being Braun is when he misses an easy grounder at 3rd and the shot to his nads makes his eyes bug out.
