    Welcome! I'm an incoming freshman at Mizzou, what's your major? business management what about you. what dorm you living in? Computer science, although I may go for a minor in business. Wolpers for me, how about you? Are you a freshman too? Your post makes it sounds like you aren't. no ill be a sophomore and i will be living in cramer this year, just easier for me this year to live in a dorm. perhaps this embarrassing season by the cubs could be replaced by a good season by the tigers in football? I'm hoping, can't wait to get my season tickets next month. EDIT: BTW, there's several other students around here. Cubbies75, Strife(although he is a Cards fan :wink:), and Mizzou(surprising I know). good to know that there are several more allies down at school. i knew several cub fans in my dorm from last year, so as usual, cubs fans are everywhere.

    man i despise the cardinals. i go to the university of missouri, so i have to hear all year long how great the cardinals are. well, as dan bernstein so eloquently put it, cardinal fans have a weird rapist passion for their team. i guess as long as the cubs are going to suck this year, might as well take the season series. GO CUBS!

    i saw a sign from last night that said something to the extent of years of misery and heartbreak 97, no end in sight, and then under that said please, before I die win, it was held by some kid couldnt been older than 20

    I've drawn mine too, but unfortunately we will get to hear how it's injuries and unsupportive fans who are to blame. The more ridiculous this gets, however, the more likely that Baker AND Hendry are gone. There were very real rumblings from the Trib Tower mid season when things were going bad. By and large, Baker and Hendry got healthy within a couple games of the WC race and have since plummetted. The suits aren't going to be happy with the bottom line at all. The Cubs have regressed while the payroll has increased and Baker and Hendry have gotten about everything they wanted. It is beginning to be a glaring embarrassment for the corporation. I can't believe that Hendry is on completely solid footing. i agree, but this could also make the suits think whats the point of spending money. i hope to god they do not begin to go back to the ways of the mid 90s. lets just hope 2003 actually means something to them.

    and start sitting lee and ramirez on a regular basis, no need to risk them for next year either. hell, add prior to that list as well.

    I am really fearing that not only will Dusty be back next year, but Macias will still be here, Neifi will still be here, Burtnitz in right, and no real improvements anywhere... and a payroll of 75mil, showing the fans that the Tribune and the Cubs don't care about winning. I'll puke if that happens. if that happens ill probably just boycott the entire 2006 season.

    what could hendry honestly do. the season is over, all that is left to play for is pride, and im pretty positive these players dont care anymore. i guess he should just fire dusty so we can be first in line for the best available manager.

    well there's the boo birds. too bad the cubs even had the lead at all in this game, just gave people false hope they could win.

    i really hope the bears are good, i need one of the teams i cheer for to be good. heck, I just hope the bears are competitive. more than this team is. its a good thing the bulls were good last year, otherwise i would have been utterly miserable.
