Hawkins gave up the 3-run, game tying home run to Diaz with two outs in the 9th. Some no-name hit the game-winning home run off Mercker in the 11th. God that game sucked. I remember watching it in NY right before my aunt's wedding. The announcers were just saying how he hadn't hit a homerun in Shea or something....That just crushed me. And, I guess, the Cubs. I specifically remember the feeling I had when that was hit. About 4-5 seconds of shock, then I felt a hard pain sink slowly from my heart to my stomach. I looked over at my friend and he looked like the same exact thing was going on. I remember just being in absolute shock. I couldn't believe they blew it. -
Cubs win the world ser... a game in August!

Wow this is a long game. I have a couple buddies over for 3 hours, and I come back and am still posting in the game thread. This has to be the longest game thread in a long, long time.

I was so mad about that play. I hope if the Cubs drill anyone, it's him. And I hope he feels a lot of pain (not necessarily injured though).
