  1. In another thread--maybe the rotoworld rumors thread, not sure--there was talk about Murton possibly being used in drawing Westbrook from Cleveland. If they're shopping Murton as trade bait, then we'll likely end up settling for Soriano/Drew/Jones. It would be great if the Indians wanted Jones instead of possibly Murton. aren't the indian's pretty well stacked in the of? why in the world would they want murton? i thought they were asking for young bullpens arms. Beats me. I'm just commenting on the Rotoworld article.

  3. That sucks. I'm really starting to dislike Yankees northeast.
  4. Excellent. Nice job by Bears fans to represent.
  5. Sorry if already answered, but for you Bears fans that were there, was there a lot of Bears fans there?
  6. Agreed, but when was the last time the Cubs were even mentioned doing any of these things. It's nice to know they're actually involved besides what fans on this site and others are saying they should be doing. It'll be even better if/when they actually get some of these guys.
  7. I knew the Cubs were going to go all out in the off-season as soon as I heard Mcdunnough say "it's time to win the world series". The rumors of the $115 mil payroll just upped it abit. It's just nice hearing reports that the Cubs are the most aggressive, they're gonna make big moves, they're not gonna get outbid, ect. These are words you don't usually hear when talking about the Cubs. It's refreshing.
  8. So all of a sudden I'm feeling really good about this offseason.
  9. Hey Kansas, Mizzou has a better record than you! (Wanted to say it once this year, because it'll be so lopsided at the end of the year).
  10. Is Butler supposed to be any good this year, or did ND and IU just have bad games against them? If they were supposed to be good, they certainly haven't gotten the press that the MVC teams have gotten. And that's not to say Butler is as good as either, but I haven't heard anything about them.
  11. I don't get this shtick. The flavor of the month seems to be dissing the Bears D. The Bears lead the NFL in total defense by a pretty wide margin and also lead the league in pass defense. Which is amazing considering the leads they have had in some of these games. Even the weak spot, rush D, is top 10. Not just the defense, but the team. Nobody at the idiot station ESPN seems to think they're that good. Not a whole lot of players are giving them their due either. Even some of the reporters for the Chicago newspapers haven't bought into them. Never before have I seen a team bashed as much as the Bears for being 8-1. It's unbelievable. I'm not asking everyone to bow down and kiss the Bears feet, but in what is the greatest Bears season I've been able to experience (I was 10 months old during the Super Bowl), it'd be nice if everyone wasn't saying how overrated they are. I hope they go into New York and stomp the Jets. At that point, New Yorkers can say whatever they want about a team that just beat its pride and joy in football. By the way, did anyone see the interview with Urlacher after the game against the Giants where he said we played bad against the... then he stopped and said I mean the Dolphins just played good and just beat us.
  12. Ugh. CFN has Missouri in the Sun Bowl. If they somehow get to the Alamo Bowl, I'll go. Sun bowl though, eh. And if Missouri wins its last two games and KState gets picked ahead of them for a bowl game, I'm gonna go crazy.
  13. They're gonna have to do something. This team is not playing with the urgency they played with at the end of last year when they were so good. I know it's early, but this is frustrating. Even more frustrating is it doesn't seem Gordon has progressed at all since his rookie year. By the way, I really, really dislike Nowitzki. One of the dirtiest/ biggest pansies in the league.
  14. Mike Imrem of the Daily Herald is a moron. I've never liked anything he's written. He wrote something a few years back that was so assinine, I can't think of it but I'm trying. Anyways, I try to stay away from his articles like I do Phil Rogers.
  15. Still doesn't make sense why Boston spends $148 million and the Cubs $100.
  16. Well I made the mistake of watching Around the Horn briefly (actually, it just so happened to be on and I forgot to change the channel), please explain to me how these guys actually have jobs, and why people watch this crap. By the way, has there ever been an 8-1 team who has been called overrated and 'not good' more than the Bears this year?
  17. Random question: Why the hell does Bill Belichick hate Mangini so much? I'm baffled by this.
  18. That makes me sad. I hope he has a Ramirez change of heart and decides Chicago is too great to leave.
  19. My bad. Still better than watching Sean Salisbury and ESPN covering the Giants loss.
  20. What's he saying? And I probably would be a lot angrier with the officiating right now if the Bears had lost.
  21. I'm with Shavo on this one, the horse collar and the fumble were infuriating, but other than that, they missed calls that are missed every week.
  22. How? The replay on the double fumble was terrible. And the phatom horsecollar. That's just off the top of my head. Those are the two that I have a big complaint about. Other than that, meh, it was like a regularly referreed football game.
  23. I would go with CSN. But then again, I'm in Missouri and don't get to watch it. Anyone else feel like this is the best win of the season?
  24. We know anything about Moose? I hope he's okay. In my opinion, this was his best game as a Bear.
