No, neither is set-up to develop a player like the NCAA can. The NBDL has a minimal salary and less exposure, Europe/overseas like Jennings did introduces odd contracts and unless you're a L. James type talent, an 18 yo is less likely to get exposure. Sabonis was one of the few to do that but he was once a generation. well, then it sounds to me like the NCAA does a pretty good job of promoting athletes who are looking to become professionals, then. You mean the networks that pay the NCAA billions do a pretty good job of promoting athletes.

I like how you make "third best team" seem all facty. It's actually wildly optimistic considering our best player has an injury that no one knows the extent of and saps him of his greatest strengths and our second best player has one working hand. Seriously guys, do you think the Heat are worse than last year and the Bulls are better? I don't get it. Were only some of us watching the clinical approach to defending Rose that allowed to us to keep it close but shut him down when it mattered? If you wanna crown their asses... But seriously, if the Heat are this powerhouse it would've manifested itself by now. They've played 59 win ball (over an 82 game season) since the Big 3 got together. Very good but not invincible.

If you consider regular season performance equivalent to postseason performance. Every all time great team throws up a kickass regular season or two during their run before "savvy vets throttling it back and saving it for the playoffs" mode. Besides, they didn't even win the championship last year.
