It's far from a given that giving Robinson's current minutes and role immediately to an ice cold Derrick Rose is going to pay dividends right off the bat. you're right, it might take a minute or two do i really need to point out the logical fallacy of expecting nate robinson to continue to produce at this clip? this is [expletive] madness The likeliest outcome is that Nate will do what he's always done: stretches of being spectacular interrupted by things that make you wanna tear your hair out. What are the possible outcomes for Rose? I think it's equally likely that he comes back and is a reasonable facsimile of his former self as it is that he comes back rusty, tentative, and generally ineffective. Another possible outcome is that he tries to do too much and wastes possessions because his timing is shot and he wants to play through it--which would be fine against Brooklyn but not Miami. I don't see the slam dunk case that throwing Rose into the fire, in THIS series, is going to outproduce what Nate is currently giving us.
