I think the Cavs can probably do both. They'll be better next year with improved health and growth from younger players, and they have so many assets in this draft that they can do something like trade the #1 pick and still have more draft assets than the average team to add young/cheap players or make further moves. I could be wrong, but it looks like they'd have the chips to do something like trade for Aldridge and still give LeBron a max deal without touching Irving/Waiters/Thompson. That would make for a frightening starting 5 with a lot of upcoming picks still to help fill in a bench. All that said, #1 for Deng or even #19 for Deng doesn't make any sense. There's a 31 & 33 for Paul Pierce rumor that would achieve a very similar goal for far fewer in assets. Yeah but this draft sucks
