I'd be really lukewarm on Del Rio. Good defensive mind but we need someone to bring SC's offense into the 21st century. Kiffin thinks he's doing his talent such a great service by playing such a "pro style" offense. Except he doesn't realize the NFL has left his archaic schemes behind as well.
If there's a competent cell in Haden's brain (TBD) they'll hire someone that wasn't born on 3rd base thinking he'd hit a triple. Gruden, Briles, Petersen, O'Brien uber alles.
I like how these analysts say USC has to play conservative ball-control offense when they still have more talent on paper than basically every team on their schedule. Lane gets a lot of attention for putting his foot in his mouth and not nearly enough credit for being a dog [expletive] play caller.
