  1. So I call up my buddy Joe House to say that Magic leaving ESPN is like your hot college girlfriend who thought she ruled campus until she put on a few pounds and a new crop of freshmen chicks knocked her from her perch and that's why Kevin Garnett is the 27th greatest basketball player of all time.
  2. Wondering if Taj continues to play well in the preseason Thibs will throw him into the starting lineup and make Boozer the de facto go to option for the 2nd unit. Rose, Butler, Deng, Gibson, Noah would be sick defensively, could be good enough offensively if Rose is right and Gibson's offense is for real and would allow us to hide Boozer's D on (presumably) lesser offensive players. Biggest concern for this team outside of health is probably scoring punch off the bench.
  3. Can that team beat the Heat, Thunder, Spurs, or Rockets? If so, then don't trade for Aldridge. I just don't think they can be that good, but I'm willing to wait 5 months to find out. In playoff crunch time, Deng and Noah can't be relied upon to score regularly. Jimmy maybe, but I want to see his development. The Bulls are 64-18 the last 82 games Derrick Rose has played in, IIRC. That's basically the epitome of a team that has a core that should be going for it. Of course things can change and they could be proactive about making changes on the margins. This team will be really, really good if Rose is Rose. 60+ wins, top 3 defense, and top 8ish (potentially better) offense. No doubt, but they really aren't close to winning a championship. They aren't better than the other teams I mentioned because they can't score with other top 5 teams in the playoffs in half court offenses. This narrative is based on one playoff series from 3 seasons ago. And hell, that might have been nothing more than a young team entering the upper echelon for the first time and taking its lumps just like every other championship caliber team does.

  5. At some point you have to stop them from getting 6+ yards on every 1st and 10
  6. This defense can't win first down
  7. Review every play you [expletive] wits
  8. Looks like a season ender for Manuel.
  9. Probably not because nobody cares about Rondo and the Celtics play better without him.
  10. This [expletive] ain't gonna work. Don't have small space shifty receivers that get quick separation or a quarterback with the brain for this surgical, short stuff.
  11. Brennaman openly rooting for Detroit
  12. I really think the sandlot football offense is our best bet and then Jay kicks us in the balls like that.
  13. come the [expletive] on
  14. One day we will complete a seam route in the red zone to Bennett.
  15. Seriously that good run on first down would've been a perfect time to go up tempo. Instead we run the play clock to 0 for an inside handoff.
  16. I love grinding the clock into oblivion for negative runs and 1 yard completions.
  17. So I missed most of the first half but it appears we are still trying to master an offense consisting of low percentage short throws?
  18. I know. How come he doesn't just catch and run into the end zone? There's no one pressuring him to the outside. Dammit. Because the ball was lofted between a safety and a corner and he thought he was gonna get blown up making the catch.
  19. Oy would've been nice to catch a break on those last two pass attempts.
  20. I thought Lovie would survive too. Happy to be wrong again 8-)
  21. Sweet news to wake up to
