Lovie! Heard he was interviewing for the USC job. No joke. Lovie denied those rumors, said he had no clue where the report came from, and said he's not interested. Maybe those fake USC representatives are still on the loose. Lovie denied the first round of rumors a couple weeks ago. I have not heard a denial of this past weekend's rumors. Glazer said he spoke to Lovie yesterday and reiterated he had not been contact and isn't interested in the job.
It's seriously under reported how this new system is unlike anything we've done in the Thibs era. There's still some Noah playmaking in the high post but we have completely scrapped baseline/flex action. We have never, ever run anywhere near this much sideline screen and roll. Now it's tbd if we actually figure out how to run this stuff but there has been a huge change and we look bad/uncertain on how to execute.
There's definitely a team that should be embarrassed as the time winds down in a 20-9 4th quarter, and it sure as [expletive] isn't the Knicks. We're running a wildly different offensive system that we don't really have a clue how to execute yet. We will be fine.
When Wade and Lebron get theirs against the Bulls they don't score 107. It's not like they'll go off and then every scrub will as well. Pick your poison.
Well as long as Butler and Deng don't get in simultaneous foul trouble we should be all right. Definitely running a lot of new stuff on offense that once the first option is taken away we get confused and flustered.
If Westbrook doesn't return by the Dec. 17th Bulls/Thunder game it will have been at least 3 years and 3 months since Rose and Westbrook played against each other if they both suit up for the March 2014 game. That sucks.
