    the best (only) way this approach makes sense is if the league has told the bulls that they’ll rig the lottery so we get a top 4 (or top 1) pick for not fully tanking

    This is the real problem not that Collins and Huerter expire after next season. Those will be extremely tradeable contracts by next years deadline. anyway we should be looking to be terrible for the rest of this season and next.

    probably right, we should be able to get draft capital and bad contracts that expire after this season or the 25-26 seasons for vuc/ball/coby/ayo though

    russini is expressing the (correct) perception that the bears historically hit below their weight class because ownership isn't flashy, isn't all that rich and can probably be pushed around by hedge fund/tech/real estate guys

    kliff just called a sick game, probably either one of monken or brady will call another one tomorrow and we'll probably want to talk to all of them. although i have no problem making johnson a godfather offer and getting him off the market.

    they'll be fine. defense was already a mash unit coming into the game. to give some kind of equivalence, imagine if the bears defense were coming into a game against a good offense and sweat, dexter, edmunds, edwards, stevenson were already out then as soon as the game starts gordon gets hurt

    just lost at home to the hornets after vuc (who apparently has no trade value despite being 20/10 on 56/42/80 shooting splits and the 82nd highest cap hit in the league) put up 40

    this is only marginally relevant because of brady being a raiders minority owner but do any chicago teams have any "cool" people as owners? i think this stuff might matter on the margins for attracting talent.
