Yeah, he wouldn't have such a quick setup and release on his shot if he didn't have some athleticism in him. That 20 foot push shot he made last night was something.
If he sails through the 8th, I think I would send him back out again in the 9th too. I would too but not having someone up in the pen getting ready seems unnecessary.
I've seen Pau bang more in the post tonight than I saw Boozer do in the last two seasons. The cool thing is when he faces up he can still take it to the hoop.
Season starts tonight @ the Knicks. Butler out 2-4 weeks with the sprained thumb: http://www.blogabull.com/2014/10/29/7089919/jimmy-butler-injury-chicago-bulls I already expected a pretty slow start to the season while the new pieces gel and Rose hopefully knocks off the rust. Not having Butler for awhile will just firm that up.
Season starts tomorrow with a TNT doubleheader (Mavericks/Spurs and Rockets/Lakers). Are you ready for 28 nationally televised Lakers games? Here are my stab in the dark predictions: West 1) Clippers 2) Thunder 3) Spurs 4) Warriors 5) Rockets 6) Mavericks 7) Blazers 8) Pelicans East 1) Cavs 2) Bulls 3) Hawks 4) Wizards 5) Raptors 6) Heat 7) Hornets 8) Pistons Finals: WCF: Thunder over Clips ECF: Cavs over Bulls Finals: Thunder over Cavs
We will rattle off some meaningless wins to quasi keep ourselves in the playoff picture and screw ourselves put of draft position while enabling just enough goodwill to keep the brain trust together outside of Tucker. It is the way of things.
