  1. I would say Grady Little. He's already on the Cubs' payroll (which would soften the impact of still having to pay Baker big bucks), and he has management experience.
  2. I've never really understood this view of Baker, why people say the Cubs should have known better because "the Giants let him go." He was there for ten years, right? Its not like they saw how terrible he was after a year or two and dumped him. I'm not saying he's the best manager, I think most people agree he makes a lot of bad decisions. But if anything, if he's that horrible a manager, then the Giants aren't smart for letting him go, they are dumb for having him there for as long as they did.
  3. Hill made one start in Peoria because Iowa was supposed to play in New Orleans (I think that's where it was), and that game was cancelled because of hurricane Dennis. He then pitched for the Chiefs so he wouldn't have to miss a start.
