  1. That's more like it!
  2. Looked like a route miscommunication
  3. That was vintage Cutler.
  4. Maybe I'm an NFL nerd, but that's a pretty easy quiz. And to your point, pretty crazy how many starting QB's are relatively recent draft picks. There was a dearth of QB talent, sans Brady and Manning, in the early-mid 2000's. I got everyone but the FSU pick from this year.
  5. "Michel Oher, University of Old Miss"
  6. Joe Flacco makes a lot of money. Therefore he is a leader.
  7. Not really, surprisingly. The mentions are listed below.
  8. I really think it's just a combination of the experts sticking with their horses and hoping they end up looking prescient as well as the simple fact that there's no way they can do all the homework it takes to keep current on every player. At least during the season, as Kyle mentioned. With some (cough Keith Law cough), I think there is a lot of ego involved. Switching up now would entail conceding their initial assessments were off, which would be unacceptable. They'll ride their horses all the way into oblivion like Slim Pickens on his nuke, if need be. And if it comes to that, they will only have been wrong because something "unforeseeable" happened. Bingo.
  9. Gotta love NSBB twitter warz. (not sarcastic.. I do)
  10. ... But it's a long O.
  11. I had a cocky Sox fan bet me that they'll be in the playoffs before the Cubs. This should be fun...
  12. I'm sure a lot of us do feel that way about our schools. The difference is, had Manziel done all of the above while at Iowa for example, I'd probably be saying something like "what a dumbass" rather than trying to legitimize the dumb [expletive] he did. Every university has their skeletons, and a whole lot of athletes do a whole lot of really stupid stuff. There's way too much smoke for there not to be a fire somewhere, and pretending otherwise is foolish. Go back and re-read my posts. I've ripped him for a lot of the dumb [expletive] he's done this offseason and I said in the last day or two that he's most likely guilty. Not even sure why I'm bothering to respond to you, but I actually have an Aggie Ring and a degree from Texas A&M. The Texas Southern grads are the ones with the burnt orange uterus on their chest. wut
  13. I admit I had to google Peter Principle. Your statement is so freaking true. I find it odd that you had to google Peter Principle, but I have no idea how it applies here.
  14. What'd be your solution for a booster promising a recruit a $100k (or insert $$ here) autograph bonus if he committed to X school and was all-conference, or a similar arrangement?
  15. In theory, the promoter could have just paid his dad directly, right? The only person obligated to cooperate with the NCAA is Manziel himself.
  16. Just learned that Tunney owns Ann Sather. Weird.
  17. Moises Alou and the entire 2003 Cubs bullpen are still mad they got screwed out of their shot at a 5-game sweep. I was at that game. What a load of [expletive] that was. Who's ever heard of assault with a belly?
  18. Yuck Manziel is a spoiled, petulant, immature child, with serious anger issues, and parents who enable his bad behavior which causes him to handle his fame very poorly. Does he really need bodyguards? Ridiculous. It's really tiresome to hear "[person] is 20 -- he/she is just a kid!" as if it's an excuse for immature behavior. There are plenty of 20-year olds who are mature enough to not engage in that sort of stupid [expletive]. We usually referred to those people as "nerds" when I was at A&M. I don't really see the correlation between not being a spoiled brat and being a nerd, but it must be an A&M thing.
