  1. Cubs have been steady all year long, no reason to think they won't continue through the playoffs. We are rested, the rotation is set, and Lou will have the boys ready to play. I think the sweep last year will be on everybody's mind, and it will help get them focused on the task at hand. The only things that concern me is DeRo's injury right now. I have faith, and will until it gets beaten out of me. To borrow a line posted earlier... What time is it...GAME TIME! GO CUBS! :yahoo:
  2. Good to hear. Thats the luxury of wrapping up home field early so lets take advantage of it. Hopefully the same idea will apply to D Lee, Theriot and Marmol. Go Cubs!
  3. X2. Definitely holding out for the bigger prize.
  4. Sweet! Please keep the pics coming. Congrats Cubs. You have given us all a great ride so far and hopefully we will have many more things to celebrate in the coming weeks. Thanks for the fun.
  5. Wow, Tavarez getting shelled
  6. I hear you, this is exactly what I was thinking myself. I don't dislike the Brewers like I do the Cards, so I do feel bad for their fans (Of course, I wont be losing any sleep over it either :D )
  7. A number of years ago I was living in Indianapolis and was at a Bulls-Pacers playoff game in Indy. Some friends and I went out to smoke a cigarette at half time, and I look up and Eddie Vedder was standing there by himself smoking. No entourage, no guards, no nothing-just hanging out like everyone else. I know hes not exactly the biggest star in the world, but to see him just hanging out minding his own business was pretty cool coming from a rock star. After I realized it was him I really wanted to ask for his autograph, but as no one was bothering him (he was dressed very casually/run-down and I dont think many others even realized it was him) I decided he probably didnt get many "normal" moments and just left him alone. Just seemed like a pretty down-to-earth guy, especially compared to others with half his fame.
  8. Im glad to see the D Lee love in those pics, he deserves it after coming through today. As much as he has been struggling, maybe this will be thing to get him back in the groove. If he can heat back up, our offense gets a whole lot beter very quickly.
  9. Great pics, thanks Raisin. This helps the end of the workday go a little bit more quickly!
  10. Amazing comeback boys, and I hope this jolt gets D Lee going again. He's been showing flashes it seems like so maybe this will get him all the way back.
  11. WOW. All after 2 outs, down 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th-this team does not quit. Great Job Gentlemen. =D> \:D/ =D>
  12. Wow, the Astros have really tanked since the smack-down in Wrigley North. Lost again tonight 14-2 (and Ricky Nolasco gets #14 tonight).
  13. Seriously. Lou, please pay attention here and see what happens when your middle relief can actually get people out...
  14. All in all, not too bad on the pitch count either. The only long atbat I can really remember was to Berkman. Just an amazing performance, thanks Big Z!
  15. Well, I think they just pulled the plug on Gameday Audio...
  16. Haha, you just figured this out now? Z is a nutcase, but he's our nutcase, so we love him. They usually dont leave all the post-game stuff on the mlb.com gameday audio, but they are still playing all the post-game from WGN radio. Sound slike Z will be sitting down with them in a bit as well so should be fun :D Z can be any kind of nutcase he wants to be as long as he keeps pitching like that!
  17. Wow, listening to Z on the post game... he's definitely out there
  18. And thanks for the Barclay Sports link too!!
  19. Wow, a great end to a great battle there
  20. Z shaking his head after deciding not to break the bat over his leg was hysterical =D> :-))
  21. Aram with another error tonight. Any ideas whats going on with him the past couple of weeks?
  22. A week from Thursday? That makes no sense, that's like 2 weeks off. I'd say he's more likely to get hurt that way. Dumb. i really doubt he's just going to sit there and do nothing for two weeks. he'll probably get off the couch to grab some cheetos and take a leak. Well played, sir.
  23. Wow, Aram with a bunch of errors lately
