  1. Gee Ken who knew caring less would make someone feel less pressure about the thing they care less about
  2. Because Contreras spent the 8th inning trying to throw he ball into the OF and Soler is a butcher defensively and looked awful batting.
  3. Rizzo just drew a walk, too. That's the first good AB this series for Rizzo
  4. That swing aside Javy and Bryant are the only ones with any semblance of approach.
  5. Any time the Cubs offense wants to wake up would be great.
  6. Lackey looks like Z used to look in the postseason. Overthrowing and making location mistakes
  7. Oh good so he's getting the high and low pitches
  8. At least Maddon isn't trying to outthink himself with the OF, and we'll have Soler and Contreras off the bench if needed against their parade of LHRP.
  9. Ross, huh? I guess Maddon wasn't impressed with Contreras being a perpetual heart attack behind the plate last night.
  10. I guess there's just no room left in this world for a man and his useless stats.
  11. In the last 7 playoff series the Cubs have lost, they've failed to advance in each of those 7 series.
  12. Saying that "in the last 7 series the Cubs have lost in the playoffs, they've lost 3 games in a row in those series" is a pretty stupid statistic.
  13. Did I miss last year's 3 game losing streak in the LDS? Or when we beat the Braves 2 games to 3 in the 2003 LDS?
  14. I sincerely hope Joe doesn't get all cute again with the OF. Just go with the Game 2 lineup.
  15. Fowler and Russell each had one good AB. I feel like I'm in bizarro world because the Cubs with the best approaches all series have been Bryant and...Javy.
  16. It would be nice if Fowler, Rizzo and Russell showed up tonight.
  17. He outthought himself on the OF with the lineup, then left Arrietta in to hit with a guy on 2nd, let him go an inning too long, and then went full LaRussa with the bullpen. Strop and Rondon only faced one guy each. Because he screwed up starting Soler, and because he went LaRussa with the pen and double switching, he PH Ross who can't run as opposed to the zero RH on the bench and as opposed to just letting Coghlan hit against a LHP. So he GIDP'd with 2 on. Then he left Montgomery in there for a 5th inning of work.
  18. This has been one of joes worst managed games all year
  19. Another bad move by Maddon. Coghlan has to run better than ross
  20. I'm glad rickety cricket's hustle didn't bite us there. Addison and Javy need that 2nd inning approach here. We need good ABs
