    Well if Frankie is hurt, he's probably Mr. Right Back, although I'd be absolutely fine with Wynne-------goochboca--------Spector. That's rough for a roadie at Saprissa, but they've got to get used to it at some point. I don't worry about Spector's poise; i worry about his hip falling off. Playing in the EPL exposes one to hostile enviroments. I actually think we're going to see that back four, which means Bradley and Mastro are going to have to play smart. I think we'll see Beasley on the left. I forgot he was fit. Wynne moves to the bench, then, Specs to the right. And if he sucks, I'm emailing him and telling him so.

    Barry to City for (pound sign here) 12 million. Perez also came out and said he's taking another run at Ronaldo. I'd really love to see Bayern or Chelsea pick up some of the wreckage like Sneijder or Van der Vaart. Ronaldo isn't leaving United. I'd be stunned.

    Add "Find Left Back" to that list. We found him, albeit somewhat damaged. His name is Jonathan Spector.

    The next month or soof fixtures is going to tell us a ton about Bob Bradley as the USMNT coach. Beginning tomorrow at Saprissa and ending at the Azteca, with the Confed/Gold cups in between...it's going to be interesting. In my mind, here are the goals: -4 points from our next two games, which is going to be tricky. Between injuries, the lost extra day b/t CR and Hondruas, yellow card accumulation (we have 5 starters going into tomorrow on a yellow) and form, Bradley needs to be smarter with subs and more creative with his XI construction. -4 points in South Africa. Ideally, a win against Egypt and a draw against Italy would be a success, even if we don't advance out of the group stage. -Getting Adu and Benny lots of GC minutes.

    This is an excellent summary of those two. Its why, if a game were a must win and we had to choose between the two, I'd choose Clint every time. Even if he's ready I wouldn't play him at the Saprissa unless as a substitute. Saprissa has field turf, probably not the best playing surface. I think you're going to see the standard RoboBob away lineup.

    Hull City stay up, and I can say I think it's 100% deserved and a great thing for that city. Newcastle deserve the drop. That team is a hot stinking mess.

    After careful consideration, Gooch to Fulham makes a ton of sense. They are going to make the Europa League/Cup thing next term, and will need central defensive depth and cover if Brede goes down. I'd also really, really, really like Landycakes to consider Villa.

    I doubt Ronaldo is going to go anywhere, but if he does, United are hosed. Ribery isn't in his class, Benzema isn't all that great, and I don't see another winger anywhere who's ready to step in. Giggs and Scholes aren't going to play forever, Hargreaves will be back, but he's not an offensive player. I can't see where they replace his scoring if he goes.

    Wasn't that just in response to a rather pointless jab at American sports? It wasn't a jab, it was an observation. What makes sense about elevating a minuscule sample size and making it out to be more important than the larger sample size?

    Soccer, you really enjoy the insults, don't you? Speaking of "probabilistic anomaly", how about 101 years? I guess that's just bad luck. The cubs just draw the crap side of the crapshoot for a century. Go get 'em next time, boys. Adjustments are for hacks. Actually, that's the very definition of probabilistic anomaly.
