  1. No way. Dempsey is the kind of guy that will eat this [expletive] up. The back four will be a clown car, but we'll win ugly. We win 3-2.
  2. Here's hoping Goodson and Beasley don't come back to hurt us, because one of those guys sucks, and the other is past it, and playing out of position. Unless we're gonna run out a 3-5-2, in which case Juergen is high.
  3. SOMEONE GOT FAAAAAAAAT
  4. I think Lebron is not far from the truth on that http://i.cdn.turner.com/si/.element/img/4.0/global/swapper/201303/130320.07.gif he's not even that accurate...he's just a ball hog and a clown. A godless chucker, if you will.
  5. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/2336091/marshark.gif Hahahaha. What the hell is that?
  6. Might be bc you sound pretty pissed at him, as if he offended you personally, and there doesn't seem to be a ton of rational support for your strong feelings. The only personal offense I take is that his behavior during his custody thing or whatever it was was kind of embarrassing, as a single father.
  7. Oooooh yeah. I must not be fully awake yet. Not sure how I forgot.
  8. Didn't he make like $80m in his time with the Bears? Not counting all the chances to suck off the advertising teat in a football insane major market? Eh. I may be coming off pretty meatball, but I couldn't care less about him leaving. It sounds like you care quite a bit. Because I had a strong opinion?
  9. Yeah. It was him knocking up a stripper and not his assholish behavior after. Also, most football players are loyal to their coaches and what not. It's part of the meatball code of the game. That shouldn't be lauded. That's whatever. He wasn't particularly loyal to a couple QBs over the years either. If he was so loyal, he would have looked at the cap situation and realized that it wasn't "lack of respect" driving that offer; it was a limited budget. Guess I'm missing something. None of that seems like a big deal to me. It's not I suppose. I just don't care for the guy and couldn't care less that he's no longer a Bear.
  10. Yeah. It was him knocking up a stripper and not his assholish behavior after. Yes, I'm sure that custody battle was all Brian being a jerk and probably not at all a stripper mom acting like a stripper mom. Not according to his douchebag text messages.

  13. Given your reaction to ARam's situation I was interested to see your response. Surprised. There are a lot of reasons to dislike Urlacher. As a player, he's past prime and has always been a thin skinned whiner who can't handle the business side of the game. The Bears are better off without him, given the salary cap limitations in place. ARam was still productive and had always been a good soldier. As a single parent, he's a clown assed clown who deserves zero respect on a personal level. So basically SSR:Mark Grace = USS:Urlacher. And LOL @ Jersey telling me to get a grip.
  14. This is why nobody should give a rats ass about Urlacher leaving. He's always been a sanctimonious, self righteous desert simpleton. He was a great enough player to overlook it for a long time, but he's not any good anymore. Watching him move laterally last year was a painful experience. Screw him.
  15. This is why he should be the captain. And nothing against Clint (obviously); I think it's fricking great that the guy who fought his way to where he is now gets to captain his country in WCQ's like CRC and away to Mexico. If it wasn't Bradley, I'm glad it's Deuce.
  16. Clint's not a bad choice, but I never really thought of him as a "captain" type leader. I really wonder if Bob's the reason MB didn't get the armband, because he's so clearly, obviously the proper choice.
  17. Fire this [expletive]. That's such a stupid way to think.
  18. Bradley and Arena are still the best two managers we could possibly turn to in a crisis. We wouldn't have time to dick around with another foreign coach who doesn't know anything about the player pool beyond what Euro club someone plays at.
  19. So....that's pretty much the worst case scenario confirmed about how the senior players feel about Klinsmann and Vasquez. Wolfie, you're right. The armband thing is now going to be very, very interesting. Nobody but Bradley should have it, and if someone with as few caps as Jones-forgetting the German-American thing-get it, there's probably going to be an even bigger schism.
  20. I'm excited for him to get a shot.
  21. Morrow and Beltran being called up in context of this makes sense. I kind of like it. I rate both guys, we were never winning away to MEX anyway. They should be able to handle the CRC game.
  22. What has he done to make you think he's capable of that doing that to AA? His play last year until he went to the Florida Monsoon League and played every 6 days, combined with this Spring, combined with the fact that he's the kind of [expletive] that will probably not allow himself to fail, and exceed our expectations via his offensive output. At the end of the day, it's just an opinion/feeling. I could be wrong.
  23. The simple version is that they get him for six years, with the first year possibly not counting if you hold him down for part of it. When you want to start that clock is up to you. But he's not close to ready. He was last seen in a competitive environment struggling with A+ and the AFL. He's still two years away, easily. I'd put money on him being a September callup this year. He's going to be on the full team for good after whatever that date is in May 2014 that gives us an extra year of control. I feel like this (and Tim's take, to some extent) is optimistic. He needs to show things at more advanced levels that he is anything but a sure thing to show. That's not to say it won't happen, but I think it's far from being a certainty (or even likely). I think his is the kind of personality that will take the fact that he's dongwhipped so far in Spring Training and exceed expectations as far as the areas of his game that need work.
  24. Planning on skipping him a level doesn't mean he's not that many levels away. Three. And what makes you think this front office doesn't view AAA as a necessary step? They were conservative with Soler last year. They kept Baez in extended spring training last year when people were clamoring for A+ or even AA. Rizzo spent half the year dominating Iowa, a level he had already dominated once. Noticing a pattern? This front office has laid out very specifically how they intend to develop prospects like Baez. They want him to "check the boxes" of improvement in very specific areas. Seeing as how "have jaw-dropping power" was already checked off, nothing we've seen in the spring has changed anything for their plan for him. He needs to show improved plate discipline, and he's not getting promoted, let alone rushed, until he does. Kyle, if the guy beats the crap out of high A early in the year, he'll be in AA by July. If he beats the crap out of that, we'll see him in the fall.
