    Do the Rangers have someone to replace Texiera at 1b? If not, I think I would try to get James Loney from the Dodgers. I'd like to see them try to get Micah Hoffpauir from the Cubs

    BBB raises an excellent point, which reminded me of something a source of mine said earlier this year. Many like to make fun of Jim Bowden around here, but my source told me that the dumbest GM in baseball unequivocally is Jon Daniels of the Rangers. "Definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer by any stretch." My source, who happens to scan Tim's site here on a regular basis, told me just by reading some threads here that there are at least 100 posters, who would be better than Daniels on philosophy alone. and he got an extension http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2909052
