If a town is big enough for a Papa Johns or a Domino's, they have some kind of mom and pop pizza in town that's better. I'm quite familiar with plenty of podunk central Illinois towns and their pizza availability. Just to be clear, I was talking about the whole region, not just the city of Chicago. I know the rest of IL, WI, MI, IN, and IA all have decent pizza, too. The majority of the country, though, is pretty remote. If you don't live within a reasonable distance of a metro area, your pizza options are going to be pretty weak. if you don't live within a reasonable distance of a metro area, you're not going to have a Papa Johns or Dominos
