    I would guess Hayes and his contract are bandied about in conversations to lessen the prospect cost for a pitcher. I wouldn't be surprised if he was then dealt again before the deadline for more pitching. Then by 2030 we will all have forgotten about the time he played for the Cubs for 8 games.

    There are some opt-in ticketing/facial scans at some ballparks already, and I’m guessing more are coming soon. But yeah, there’s nothing really stopping him from getting entry if someone else buys the tickets and whatnot. Like TT said though, they would likely seek trespassing charges from local PD if he does anything again.

    A couple things jump out to me. His FB velocity is down a little from last year and his barrel rate has jumped. Everyone is hitting him harder and pulling the ball.

    But there is risk. You're taking ABs away from guys you either consider part of the future or keys in a trade. If Matt Shaw dies tomorrow I would rather ride with Berti or Jonny Long than hope Jeimer and his back are suddenly fine. Lower back injuries (especially after 30) do not disappear.
