  1. This question has probably been asked before, but for the longest time I've been looking for a digital copy of the WGN radio Cubs theme song (Everybody Loves the Cubs...). Does anyone know where I can find a streaming copy or a downloadable copy of the song? Thanks.
  2. I'm dreaming, but I love Carlos Lee, it'd be great if we could get him and possibly deal Murton
  3. Soriano needs to shut up and realize that the best move for his career is to move to left field. I think I read somewhere that he once played outfield for the Yankees in spring training and looked pretty good, has anyone else heard that?
  4. I know it's a little early to talk about him because he still hasn't turned 20, but I think I would consider Felix Hernandez. A career 2.45 ERA in the minors, K/9 of 10.66, and he looked fantastic when he was called up late last season. I can't imagine that he costs very much, he's younger than most minor leaguers and may be one of the best pitchers in baseball next season. He's only 19, and his stuff is electric. I know Peavy has proven himself already, but I can't help but mention King Felix.
  5. It's in Moneyball, on page 71 in my copy.
  6. I just want him to pinch run again, just for another laugh. When he ran for Greenburg in Florida, I couldn't stop laughing.
  7. I think it's important to note that Wood needs much more time to warm up than most other relievers because he was always a starter. Thus, when he is put in, it requires more advance notice than most other relief pitchers. Since closers often need to warm up and pitch on short notice, I don't think Wood would be effective in that role. Plus, Dempster has been as good as anyone could have expected him to be in the closer's role. Sure, he makes me sweat more than Joe Borowski in mid-August, but he's still been effective.
  8. Enrique Wilson may bat .400, but I don't think Lee can get there.
  9. Hitting for the cycle's tough for a position player. Sure, Zambrano can hit, but he's a lot better at pitching.
  10. Zambrano, he's got all of the passion to prove that baseball is what he lives for
  11. Although I would like to believe that Lee has it in him, I also know that Pujols is probably the best hitter in baseball right now, and I don't think Lee can keep this up long enough to hold off Pujols.
