  1. Ugh. Theriot good play to stop the ball, but now bags loaded.
  2. Thank goodness. Now lets get that DP. Murton kinda misses the cutoff man.
  3. He's had a really good spring so far, to judge him on that one AB isn't exactly fair.
  4. Group A: A. Pujols Group B: A. Soriano & L. Berkman Group C: G. Atkins -> P. Fielder, J. Morneau & M. Cabrera Group D: M. Ensberg, M. Teahen, J. Gomes -> J. Rollins, A. Gonzalez & B. McCann WC: Alex Gordon -> Alex Rios Transactions:
  5. Exactly, it really looks like his arm has improved in the offseason, and that his patience is up at the plate thanks to Perry. And if they platoon him, I would actually PREFER to have Jacque on the team. Trading him at this point, barring any type of Tejada-like return would be asinine.
  6. I really do love watching the Cubs on my TV.
  7. Yayyy another televised game, and this time I get to listen to Ron and Pat instead of Hawk and DJ.
  8. Great poll question. I gotta go with the kids. I feel like referring them to Roast's sig.
  9. Not to mention that he's got great speed on the basepaths. I'd keep him, at least until we package him in a deal for Miguel Cabrera.
  10. Please tell me that this is on WGN radio as well, so I can mute Hawk.
  11. He's actually very good at what he does...He creates controversy. Judging a "journalist" by the number of newspapers he sells is like judging a movie by the number of tickets it sells. a)There are good movies that generate big box office numbers. b) There are bad movies that generate big box office numbers. c) There are good movies that perform poorly at the box office. d) There are bad movies that perform poorly at the box office. Mariott's work falls under choice (b). So what you're saying is that Marrotti is the Wild Hogs of journalism.
  12. From what I hear he's still recovering from his surgery, but doing quite well. I'm kinda half-rooting for him, as I think I have him on 3 out of my 4 fantasy teams. :-$
  13. Duncan's gonna be batting in front of Pujols for the whole year. I expect good things from him. As far as Edmonds, I'd be shocked if he didn't start on the DL. Who was it again who wanted a trade for him?
  14. For what we'd get in return, a trade isn't worth it.
  15. Actually this is only partially true. Prior has options left but his clock has expired. He could be optioned to the minors but he'd have to clear revocable major league waivers. So it's possible he won't be able to be demoted?
  16. Bad link Vance. There's an l in front of it the web address you entered. Also Bruce, great article, but I disagree with you on one aspect. If Jacque Jones is facing a righty, I have no problem with him batting #2.
  17. Who was it that he was close friends with and got called up at the same time?
  18. Gotta love Rotoworld's sense of humor: Neifi Perez left Tuesday's game in the third inning, saying he felt congested and ill. Tigers fans complained of the same symptoms after he was acquired last year. Perez is day-to-day. =D> =D>

  20. I heard the Cubs had a scout at the recent Blue Jays/Braves game...
  21. Well guess what genious, had you voiced these gripes privately to Angelo, he might have been able to work a trade like he did for T.J, but now you have killed all the Bears leverage and they sure as hell are not gonna let you walk for nothing. Idiot. In fairness, he probably already articulated these sentiments to Angelo, but he franchised Briggs anyway. He's still a douche though.
  22. Thanks for the detailed notes Tim, it's very encouraging to see such raw talent.
