  1. They acquired Adam LaRoche, that's pretty good. For their closer and a decent prospect. They've spent no money on the team since they re-signed Kevin Young. What about the huge FA signing last year of Jeromy Burnitz? Or the 3 year/$20 Million deal with Jack Wilson?
  2. If the Republicans could control it......why would they ever raise it so high in the first place? I call BS.
  3. This year, two young, rising superstar secondbasemen have drawn the eyes of fans... Both Ian Kinsler and Howie Kendrick are kickin' tail on their teams.....
  4. Do you have a source where it says he's staying for good? Everything I've read says he'll only stay up until Shealy returns, then they'll make their decision.
  5. I'm not so sure Zambrano gets traded. Besides, CC Sabathia is also going to be on the market if the Indians are out of it, and Rich Harden will probably also be on the market.
  6. No way, if you have him at 3rd he has the best chance of continuing the inning, and plus he's a doubles machine even if he isn't hitting homeruns. Dude has a .483 OBP. No way you should drop him lower.
  7. Well if they were in it solely to make money, they of course would want to win more, because winning draws fans.
  8. I think the Devil Rays will be a good team here in a few years. The only club I would get rid of would be the Royals. I don't think they will be good anytime soon. I assume you've never heard of Alex Gordon, Mark Teahen, or Billy Butler? Or about the resurgence of Grienke? I think you'll find the Royals more and more competitive in coming years.
  9. I'm reluctant to give credence to the theory that the CF thing was hurting him. I'm guessing it was just start of the new contract jitters. I still wish he would bat fifth.
  10. I like the diluted talent. It makes the games more interesting.
  11. He really is obnoxious. But it was cool that Salty threw out the first runner to test him, and ALMOST got a HR to the deepest part of the ballpark during his first at bat.
  12. He's traditionally been a first half guy, but yeah, I'm on board. :D
  13. Hooooolly crap. Makes me want to watch this game.
  14. Yes, this. I love Marshall, but he's not ready yet. Well darn. Just have to trust in Da Gooz.
  15. God, that was a heartbreaker. I can still remember Chip Caray saying "no major league home runs"..... :x But this is a day of happiness!!! Two wins!
  16. He started out slow in his start against Daytona, but was real solid the last 3 or 4 innings in that start. And it sounded like he was decent today. He's doing better than Guzman is to this point. And he did very well against ML batters early last year.
  17. ahAHAHAHAHAH
  18. Amen. If it were my decision, I'd still call up Guzman.
  19. I don't think they're good enough to "run away" with the division, but they got a decent chance to win it, as much as the Cubs do.
  20. LINK That's from March, mind you.
  21. Agreed. I can easily see a Chris Carpenter-like comeback.
