I don't really see a problem with it. All is fair and love in war. I like Brenly's view of modern baseball: teams are too friendly and considerate with each other. After all, trickery is part of the game. We fake pickoff's, have pitchouts, throw pitches that bend and dip, etc. Ty Cobb said it best: "Baseball is a red-blooded sport for red-blooded men. It's no pink tea, and mollycoddles had better stay out. It's a struggle for supremacy, a survival of the fittest."
