  1. Hawks won their third straight game today, 2-1 over the Avalanche at home, and they announced that they sold every single United Center ticket, including standing room, for this game -- the first time that's happened since the inaugural season of the UC. Great to hear. Also, this team is only 6 points out of the final playoff spot now, they definitely have a shot.
  2. I don't understand how that goal in the shootout wasn't goalie interference. Looked pretty clear to me.
  3. so, those Blackhawks are pretty much finished
  4. I don't see why people wouldn't be satisfied with Lang this year. 16 goals and 36 points in 50 games, a +9 and he's been one of the better Hawk forwards, not to mention hasn't missed a game yet this year, which is more than we can say about a lot of the players on the roster. He's kind of a lazy player but put him with talented linemates and his talent will allow him to produce.
  5. yeah just saw that on NHL.com, it was ridiculous. although I'd say Toews' goal was better. :)
  6. it's unbelievable the injuries they have gone through, I don't think any team in the league could lose key players like the ones the Hawks have lost and still win.
  7. I was at the game tonight as well, fun time, it's just great to see a big crowd and how much energy they had, and a good effort from the Hawks. Unfortunately, Wisniewski is out four-to-six weeks with a knee injury, and Sopel is out two-to-four weeks with a broken finger. Gonna be tough to replace those guys.
  8. Big props to Khabibulin, he really made some big stops and kept the Hawks in it. GREAT game by Sharp, Toews was good as well.
  9. Unless Chester Taylor has a HUGE night, I'm done.
  10. i don't think it's gonna matter, looks like i'm having a pretty crappy day
  11. arrrrrrr
  12. my team's god mad skillz yo
  13. Hawks fall to the Sabres 3-1 tonight, now 1-5-0 in December. Not looking good lately.
  14. ...and the Hawks beat the Kings 6-3 tonight. Toews had a goal and two assists, Havlat two goals, Kane with a couple of assists. Big win to end the losing strak.
  15. I agree it's a big game and they really need to win. They shouldn't be just one game over .500, time to raise the level of their play.
  16. yeah the Hawks really came up with a lame effort, I don't know if they were tired or something but 18 shots on net usually isn't going to get you a win, especially when you don't test the goalie seriously until the 3rd period. Still was a good week though, winning two out of three, and they've got Vancouver at home on Wednesday. Hopefully the crowds at the UC start to get bigger, it was nice to see 16,000+ at the game Friday.
  17. yup, 3-0 Hawks over the Lightning late in the 2nd currently. Sounds like the Hawks are controlling the play, and Havlat has had a big impact.
  18. Hawks really battled tonight but ended up losing in the shootout, 3-2 to the Oilers. Great effort being as banged up as they are. Still sit at 4th in the conference, so not bad at all.
  19. They've been saying there's a chance he could play Nov. 28th against Tampa Bay. Been a tough game so far for the Hawks tonight, 0-0 after 1 period but they look really tired, apparently the flu bug has hit the team pretty badly, Ruutu and Sharp are out tonight because of it, Seabrook has it but is playing, and they said Lalime also has it and has lost 10 pounds. They've done a lot of line juggling but are at least keeping their heads above water in Edmonton so far.
  20. Reading some Hawk sites on the internet, McDonough is apparently thinking about bringing Wayne Messmer back for the anthem, and supposedly there is talk that Dan Kelly could be on the way out, and perhaps Pat Foley back in? Not sure if I buy it right now, but we'll see.
  21. Ditka's Army has decided to take the league by storm this year.
  22. I'm pumped for tonight's Hawks/Wings game. Lot of buzz for this one, first televised home game of the year, Detroit looking for ten straight wins and CSN is going to have a lot of extra coverage of this one. Khabibulin will be starting, and there was a rumor that Havlat could play on the 'net but I doubt that happens. Go Hawks!
  23. Now they're saying Havlat could be back during this homestand? That would be sweet.
  24. pretty sweet 3-2 win over the Blues last night for the Hawks.
  25. been ugly the last 3 games; the defense is the biggest concern, imo, but also guys like Samsonov and Perreault really need to step it up offensively.
