    Sportsnet has a scouting report on Bowen: Assets A switch-hitting catcher who excels from the left side, showing decent power. He's an above-average defensive catcher, able to block and through very well. Flaws He's a weak hitter from the right side and generally lacks discipline at the plate. Career potential Good backup catcher who can be a No. 1 if needed.

    This was probably already discussed, but who is the starter at C now? Are they going to call up Soto and give him a shot? the Cubs.com article says it might be Hill, which would really make us much worse offensively.

    Someone called in WGN or the score closely afterward. He said his friend read his lips. . The pitcher (young right?) said. . . Young - Are you alright? Lee - Yeah (and even I could clearly see that in the replay) Young - Then take your base you #*@*#*@. Lee - What!? (again you can see this in the replay) Young - began to repeat himself before the punch. Lee reacted to the fact he almost got hit in the face, and then this fatso pitcher EGGS him on after hitting him in his previously injured wrist? If MLB could know the whole story fatso would get 3 missed starts and lee would get a day. . . . . if they were fair. . When I saw the replay the first couple of times, I could have sworn Young was saying "I wasn't throwing at you" right before Lee swung at him.

    Lose the battle win the war; get the series. Let's hope so---one more complaint and I know this is a stretch but after watching the play on Theriot at the plate several times--the catcher NEVER tags him. They bump sides, but he never tags him. Again, i am not saying a guy would make that call, but technically he should have been safe. And say what you want--that is just the type of thing they would call somone like barrett for. is there any video of that play up? At first look I thought he tagged him but they never showed a real clear replay of it.

    You know what's weird? I was at the game last night and Rapada's name was flashed on the scoreboard for like a second before someone's AB (I believe it was Hill's at the end).
