  1. Will it matter with Heyward and Montero due up? Joe should bring in Willson to pinch hit but he won't.
  2. Abreu's walkup music sounds like the price is right theme
  3. Joe is playing the bullpen Survivor Island.
  4. Losing tomorrow is going to be the massive kick in the nuts.
  5. A guy with a 17 ERA tomorrow? Should be fun
  6. Joe has suddenly stopped pitching our Latin relievers.
  7. Just give them their weak single right now
  8. Dude he's been really good his last handful of starts. Meh. Maybe not. [tweet] [/tweet] Perfect pitcher stats for us to run into. But Arrieta throws one horsefeathering bad pitch and makes it 4-0 last night
  9. James horsefeathering Shields decides to figure it out tonight.
  10. We are making horsefeathers starting pitching look really good.
  11. This is looking like the New York series.
  12. I prefer them cranking in September. Those are the teams that seem to do well in the playoffs I believe there is little to no correlation to how well a team is doing in September, or any other month or selected stretch of time, and having success in the playoffs. Of course not. I expected this response from this board. It is just the way it rolls. Last year the cardinals crawled to the finish line and we pounded them. The mets also ended very strong. I am sure the math does back it up but it sure seems that way.
  13. It's because their start raised the expectations to the point where you expect them to dominate every night. Instead you've gotten a .500ish team since mid May. Like I've said in past game threads almost every good team goes through a long stretch of .500 ball. The hope is they will hit their stride again in August and cruise to the playoffs I prefer them cranking in September. Those are the teams that seem to do well in the playoffs
  14. You're probably right. I mean he's been very good this season, but his 1st two games as a Cub haven't gone very well, so we should just keep Clayton Richard instead. At least we know he's awful, so we won't be let down. Not thinking Richard. How many will we have in the pen for the playoffs? 7? Right now: Chapman Rondon Strop Grimm Edwards Wood Remaining: Richard Nathan Montgomery Cahill
