Iowa wins 5-4! Wuertz got a blown save, but he got the win with 2 IP, 2 hits, 1 run (0 earned), 1 walk, and 2 K's lowering his ERA at Iowa to 1.80. -

Iowa scored 2 in the 9th to take a 4-3 lead on a McGehee homer and an RBI double by Ojeda. Wuertz was in to close it out, but he gave up a leadoff single to Brian Daubach, threw a WP, and then Daubach scored on a fielder's choice error. Wuertz came back though to get 3 straight outs. So after 9 in Memphis, it's all tied up at 4. -

:?: Murton was stealing 2nd on a 3-1 count and Jones walked. Murton slid into 2nd and of course he gets 2nd because of the free pass. The Padres fans for some reason didn't realize this as they thought Murton was out at 2nd.
