  1. That's definitely what I hate about the coverage of it. After the first round, they don't care at all. The coverage of the draft itself on the second day is about as bad as it can get. They focus no time at all on the selections.
  2. We will. At least the NFL Draft will be going on.
  3. Bob Howry still sucks. Welcome back to normalcy, Cubs.
  4. Daytona nearly blew an 8-2 lead, but they hold on to win 8-7. Eyre pitched a perfect 9th. Ceda went 5, allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, 6 K's/2 BB's, 2 GO's/7 FO's. Papelbon gave up a run on two hits and a walk in two innings of relief. Tony Thomas was 2/5 with his 6th steal of the season. Russ Canzler went 3/4 with a homer and four runs driven in. Tennessee was blown out, 12-2. Juan Mateo with another craptacular relief outing: 2.2 IP, 8 hits, 7 runs, 3 K's/0 BB's, two long balls given up. Colvin was 2/4 with two strikeouts. Iowa up huge as they lead Memphis 16-3 in the 7th. Holliman had a good outing tonight: 6.1 IP, 7 hits, 3 runs, 2 K's/1 BB, 6 GO's/11 FO's. Every Iowa player has a hit except Koyie Hill (shocking). Holliman helped his own cause by going 2/4 with a double and 4 driven in. Even Walrond has a hit.
  5. Everyone expected Theriot to make an out, but those were horrid AB's by Lee and Ramirez. Hopefully we go to extras...
  6. That man is our savior, don't call him an idiot. Hey, it works. Win this b, plz.
  7. Third game in a row where the Cubs blow a late inning chance. These are the Cubs that I know.
  8. Well I called the strike him out, throw him out and now I called Fontenot PH'ing for Blanco. I have officially figured out Lou's managerial "skills."
  9. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Fontenot now comes onto PH for Blanco. Wasting our entire bench in the 8th inning. Woohoo.
  10. Nice job Murton. Here comes the obligatory Hank White DP.
  11. As soon as I saw the count get to 3-2: Flames24Rulz (8:35:30 PM): here comes a strike him out throw him out That was too easy to call. Theriot isn't very fast.
  12. The dropped third strike is the dumbest rule in sports. No, in all of sports, that would be the inability to review force-out plays in football. Well there's no such thing as force-outs anymore (thank God).
  13. Please score some runs. The Nationals suck.
  14. Ahahahaha. I got a laugh out of it.
  15. Seriously. I love sleeping til 11:45 and waking up in time to watch the whole draft. Now I have to wait 3 more hours. FTH The solution is simple. Sleep three more hours.
  16. Good start for Mathes: 6 IP, 6 hits, 1 run, 4 K's/2 BB's, 10 GO's/4 FO's. Cotts gave up a run on two walks and no hits in a third of an inning. Tennessee's red-hot offense managed one run in a loss to West Tenn. Berg was decent: 6.2 IP, 5 hits, 1 run, 3 K's/4 BB's, 14 GO's/2 FO's. Daytona won 7-2. Chad Fox pitched the first two innings and did quite well: 2 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 K's/0 BB's, 3 GO's/1 FO. Nice games for both Tony Thomas and Jonathan Wyatt who had a combined 7 hits.
