    Boy, that joke never gets old, does it? Hmm, turns out it actually does get old. a golden oldie. It's retro now...and retro is in. get with the, times boys. Apparently, because the whole QFT and "fixing" other peoples posts came and went a couple of years ago on the rest of the internet. Its all the rage here, though.

    Yeah, but what do you expect these guys to say? Youre not going to hear "Yeah, the night I sent Matthews the offer I had just finished a fifth of vodka and had to have my secretary dial the numbers on the fax machine for me. Looking back, it wasnt the best signing in the world but we all make mistakes." Of course theyre going to say something stupid to cover for themselves.

    Sunnyvale, here too. I think another factor in the SF vs Oakland thing is the transportation. Its easy to just hop on Caltrain and be dropped off at the park, no matter where on the penninsula youre coming from. Oakland has bart, but its more of a hassle and somewhat limited, depending on where you are coming from.

    Was that speculation about Dusty having already signed an extension way back when Hendry got his ever disproven? This would kinda fit in with that. Anyways despite all the dramatics, Im sure Dusty will be back, and chances are most everyone else will be, too. If their fanbase were ever going to erode, it would have started long before this year.

    you missed a comma after the OBP, but everything else looked good. Extra bonus and style points for using a colon, semi-colon, multiple apostrophes, and multiple commas. You were a hyphen short of the cycle. The style guide says not to use a comma right before the "and" in a list. Hmmm i was always taught the opposite. And to be honest, it's now a petpeeve of mine when people don't put the comma in.

    This is the second time youve called it "white trash" behavior, as if white people are the only ones who have ever thrown a punch. I didn't mean to say only white people exhibit this behavior. Let me amend my use of "white trash" to "trailer trash." Alright, well again, people who live in trailers arent the only ones who get in fights. People from all walks of life get into fights. You could just say you disagree with what he did instead of trying to categorize him into some low social group. Anyways as to the fight itself, I think if nothing else, it probably shows that Barrett is getting frustrated with the way things are going. Hes probably sick of working hard only to be on the losing end of things, and getting hit at the plate might have sent him over the edge right there. If thats the case, then Im glad he gives a crap.

    Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I just thought Id say that I was at todays game, and Murton and Z spent like half of the game joking around and chatting it up together in the dugout. Definitely no bad feelings there.

    I've noticed he sucks as an ump on several occasions, but his bigotry is news to me. Since no one else asked, what is your source on this? Not to say you're lying, but that is a pretty severe charge. If true he should be kicked out of the league ASAP.
