Bruce, if you re-visit or, if anyone knows the answer, I'd really like to know why a MI must bat 2nd... A cursory examination of retrosheet looks like Dusty has almost always batted a mif 2nd in the order. Oddly enough the only time he didn't for any extended time was when he had Bill Mueller at 3b and Kent at 2b he batted Mueller(lifetime 373 obp) 2nd most of the time. I say oddly enough because that was a great spot for Mueller but it wasn't really a "Dusty type" move. Also in 2004 he batted Cpatt (293 obp) 2nd more than anyone else with DLee next.
