  1. Lets see if Cordero can choke another one away...
  2. Nice of Pedro Feliz to swing on 3-0 5-4 Brewers after 7.5
  3. Giants score thrice in the top of the 7th! down 5-4 now Bonds lurking in the 8th
  4. http://t0.ca/news/50/will_smith_4.gif ?
  5. Milwaukee hosts San Francisco at 7:05 CT Yovani Gallardo makes his major league debut for the Brewers against Noah Lowry (6-5, 3.46) - hopefully the Giants can take advantage of the inexperienced rookie And of course the Cardinals play KC again  Odalis Perez against Adam Wainwright If Milwaukee wins, they take a 7 game lead, if they lose, a 6 game lead A Cardinals win moves the Cubs to 3rd
  6. I think DeRosa's versatility is too valuable. I think the Yankees are going to go for a proven 1B anyways.
  7. WOW, I completely forgot about this. I'm not doing too bad either...
  8. and I'm just fine with that, which is why they all should just be DFA'd
  9. I think there is gonna be an unintentional beanball today (with the Cubs luck, probably by Hill), and it's going to get ugly again.
  10. Or it could be 5 It's official... 6.5 now, Brewers win 5-2.
  11. Lou already said that Barrett will start, so that's good. Floyd and Lee have both not been good in a lot of at-bats against Maddux, but hopefully Maddux not being what he was in Atlanta will help those two out. It's hard to tell which one of Theriot or Izturis will start-my leaning is towards Izturis, since Theriot has started the first 2 games of the series and Izturis is 4/12 against Maddux with a walk, but it really could be either one of them. My guess is Theriot at 2B with Izturis at SS and a day off for Fontenot
  12. Floyd with 2 HRs against Maddux Barrett should start - .344 Izturis, Jones, Soriano, Theriot all at .333 DLee has homered off Maddux as well
  13. Freakin Twins can beta everyone at home except the Brewers... Suppan vs. rookie pitcher tomorrow as well. Their division lead could be 8 games by Monday.
  14. San Diego: 2B Giles RF Sledge 1B Gonzalez LF Branyan SS Greene CF Bocachica 3B Headley C Bowen P Young Cubs: LF Soriano CF Pie 1B Lee RF Floyd 3B DeRosa 2B Fontenot SS Theriot C Hill P Zambrano
  15. Last time I checked, you need to drive in runs to win games. Maybe I am mistaken? RBI isn't a very good measure of a player. That's why I also mentioned his batting AVG I realize Floyd is getting old and he doesn't have the legs he used to, his bat is still very solid. If we were already out of it this year (like we should be), I would agree that Murton should start everyday. But the fact of the matter is that Murton (and obviously Jones) just weren't getting the job done like Floyd. If we want to win this year, and have a shot at the division, Floyd is the best option for RF.
  16. Well, we did host the Padres on 4/16 and won 12-4 :D
  17. Last time I checked, you need to drive in runs to win games. Maybe I am mistaken?
  18. Wait, what? Link? How did I miss this? It wasn't me directly - i idiotically took if from someone else and believed it The thread was legendary though. I guess the Floyd GIF is coming back... I do like that we're bragging about Floyd, who is essentially a singles hitter at this point. This great power hitter has 7 XBH's all year (Murton has 8, btw). Woohoo! Yeah I voted for the guy that isn't bragging about the money Hendry's wasting. How is it money wasting? He's the best RFer we have. Jones can't hit a baseball, Murton got sent down. Pagan is solid but Floyd is batting .319, I'll take that in the lineup any day. b/c Murton's shown the ability to put up the same OPS that Floyd is currently sporting. w/o the power that Floyd has had in the past (and is nowhere to be found this year), they are essentially equal. Murton's OPS is .667 Floyd's OPS is .807 also, you just disregard the difference in AVG and RBIs? Murton: .252, 8 RBI Floyd: .320, 25 RBI The stats don't lie.
