No, but Mr. Snuffalupagus says the Tejada trade is OFF Well, Peace said Angelos nixed the Bedard deal, so thats gonna put everything on hold I'd assume.

The way MacPhail makes trades (or fails to), I doubt we will ever get Roberts. -
He's done this so much the past few months that it's hard to image him every admitting he made a trade.

Good call. I forgot all about that rumor. Still, I don't think Hendry would be comfortable with removing Marquis from the rotation given his contract. I don't think he's even in the rotation at this point Right now it looks like: Z Lilly Lieber Hill Dempster -

I woulnd't be surprised if MacPhail and Hendry have the Roberts thing agreed on until Bedard is traded and Jim is helping Seattle raise their ante. I could see MacPhail telling Bavassi: "Well we're going to take the Cubs offer of Pie, Hill, and a buncha minor leaguers (obviously not real) unless you replace Sherill with Truinfel", or something like that. it is a shame that we aren't going to get bedard because that trade would be super cool my prediction is that these trades will undoubtedly go down this next week mark it dude! Giving up Hill in a trade for Bedard would in no way be super cool. this is where you and i don't see eye to eye...in my opinion bedard is a better pitcher than hill That doesn't give any reason to trade Hill for him The key to acquiring Bedard is that the rotation would be complete. Trading Hill for Bedard is a slight upgrade but it still leaves a spot open.

Well, if reports are true that Hendry was trying to acquire Byrd, wouldn't that make you think Pie could be on the move? The only way I see him being moved is indeed a trade for Roberts and Bedard. EDIT: It's hard to say who's telling the truth and who's not, but I believe they are still going for both.

I'd really like to forget the 2 games I did last season: -The brutal game in Philly where Guzman started (lol) and the Cubs rallied from down like 5-0 and then the bullpen blew it after a 2 hour rain deal -Trachsel losing (and the Cubs getting swept) to the Marlins in Florida as it looked like the Cubs were choking away the division... Here's to a better 2008
