  1. FWIW, I don't think a Cub Fangraph should ever be that optimistic. Just because. I know. Where's Bartman? 100 years, man! 100 years. http://www.fangraphs.com/tgraphs/20031014_Marlins_Cubs_0.png
  2. For the first time ever, I'm happy to see Howry in a game
  3. http://www.fangraphs.com/lgraphs/280510116_Diamondbacks_Cubs_70991389_lbig.png
  4. 2 HR's by May 10th does not equal power. I'm not complaining, though. By that I meant that he does have power to some extent. Indeed, opposite field as well
  5. OK, I guess we're assuming there's a pitching change
  6. Why haven't they showed Marmol warming up yet?
  7. He's expendable I think Lou is secretly hoping he blows a knee out
  8. Lou, please only use Marmol/Wood for the rest of this game
  9. BS calls? Explain. Maybe he's talking about calls Lou Piniella makes, like who to start at CF and SS? my gamecast isnt working well who "drove in" our only run? Nobody, Soriano scored on a weird play
  10. GEOVANY SOTO's greatness leaks into his teammates ;)
  11. BS calls? Explain. The non strike(s) in this game, and 4 or 5 missed calls in the Demp's loss to the Reds  Those are just two games you're talking about. We blew the Reds game ourselves thanks to Fontenot's terrible fielding and his terrible baserunning in the 9th. Fontenot actually was safe at home despite the atrocious base running, but other that that you're not incorrect.
  12. Please God, just let Qualls make one huge mistake
  13. BS calls? Explain. The non strike(s) in this game, and 4 or 5 missed calls in the Demp's loss to the Reds for starters
  14. Missed opportunities and BS calls have summed up the Cubs losses in 08 so far.
  15. Man, even if the Cubs make the playoffs, they are going to run into the D'Backs eventually with Webb/Haren/Johnson/Scherzer it is virtually impossible to win a series
  16. Pena and Qualls are pretty tough, but despite his early success, Lyon is not. Gotta keep it within 1 though. Juan Cruz has been good as well. Not yesterday though, he won't pitch today
  17. Bingo What happened to Fukupatience? He walked earlier in the game. Soto strikes out swinging. End of the inning. I was talking to about the strike call. It was the same pitch Dempster had called a ball. Did someone not understand this?
