  1. HOU and ATL are also about to be headed into the 17th in Georgia
  2. If hawkcub doesn't show up with Tuesday's GDT by noon tomorrow, I'll put up the next thread to try and keep the mojo going.
  3. Sigh... Jim is gonna have to get a starter now to counter this move, the Brewers are gonna be really scary down the stretch. I cringe at the thought of those late season games in Milwaukee.
  4. http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports_hardball/2008/07/cubs-look-to-ha.html Ramirez sans his slump and Theriot could also be seen as deserving. Can you imagine having 8 guys on the team? Also, I have a bad feeling Dempster's gonna struggle if he's used.
  5. Yea but we can only get to 3.5 or drop to 2.5 today. Still not quite there I meant 1.5, but it looks like about 3 others corrected him anyway ;)
  6. Yea but we can only get to 3.5 or drop to 2.5 today.
  7. The Blue Jays actually have a Candian flag on theirs, haha: http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-4837397dt.jpg
  8. I hope it it's OK that I'm starting this, I'm pretty sure the deadline is midnight of the night before and hawkcub hasn't posted in 2 days, so he probably forgot. The next one is his if he shows up. I just wanted to get this up and forget yesterday. (which thank god I didn't witness) So on to today... http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/445156.jpg (0-2, 4.87) vs. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/mlb/425487.jpg (7-3, 3.86  ) Wellemeyer was hit pretty hard by the Mets in his last start though so hopefully we can take 2 of 3. Also, prior to the game on TBS at 1 PM CT is the 2008 All-Star Selection show. GO CUBS!
  9. Nate McClouth is hitting .278 Good to see him come back down to earth finally. Time for the Cards to do the same.
  10. Rosenthal just said Brewers and Dodgers are still the frontrunners. Please get him, L.A.
  11. Sorry if this was mentioned but Olney mentioned that one of his sources said Sabathia could have made his last start as an Indian. The signing of Weaver is curious. I pray the Brewers don't get him.
  12. Why is he struggling?
  13. It was mentioned at the beginning of the Reds broadcast that the trade winds were swirling tonight but nothing has gone down yet. Some insider on a reds forum broke the news before the announcement on the broadcast but nothing has gone down yet I guess: http://www.redszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69890&page=11 I doubt it involves the Cubs but you never know.
  14. Edgar Renteria is the perfect example of the enigma known as the NL player who sucks in the AL.
  15. Valid point Cubs have gotta land CC though, that's the key move, IMO.
  16. God forbid we should gain some ground on anyone. Not gaining ground > Losing ground I'll take that I've been satisfied with breaking even for too long now. If the Brewers land Sabathia, a 4.5 game lead on them is not going to be enough. If the Brewers land Sabathia, and Sheets remains healthy they'll win the division.
  17. God forbid we should gain some ground on anyone. Not gaining ground > Losing ground I'll take that
  18. Wonderful, the downhill spiral of the bullpen is beginning.
  19. Something is wrong with Marmol We are absolutely screwed
