Sigh... Jim is gonna have to get a starter now to counter this move, the Brewers are gonna be really scary down the stretch. I cringe at the thought of those late season games in Milwaukee.

I hope it it's OK that I'm starting this, I'm pretty sure the deadline is midnight of the night before and hawkcub hasn't posted in 2 days, so he probably forgot. The next one is his if he shows up. I just wanted to get this up and forget yesterday. Sorry if this was mentioned but Olney mentioned that one of his sources said Sabathia could have made his last start as an Indian. The signing of Weaver is curious. I pray the Brewers don't get him.

It was mentioned at the beginning of the Reds broadcast that the trade winds were swirling tonight but nothing has gone down yet. Some insider on a reds forum broke the news before the announcement on the broadcast but nothing has gone down yet I guess: http://www.redszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69890&page=11 I doubt it involves the Cubs but you never know.

God forbid we should gain some ground on anyone. Not gaining ground > Losing ground I'll take that I've been satisfied with breaking even for too long now. If the Brewers land Sabathia, a 4.5 game lead on them is not going to be enough. If the Brewers land Sabathia, and Sheets remains healthy they'll win the division.
