It's pretty amazing to me that the Cubs trot out these relievers one after the other and not one single guy is capable of keeping the ball in the ball park. How can there not be better options?

I'm just completely missing something here. Isn't pretty much every player on that list better, both recently and historically, than Ian Stewart? Why would you want Stewart over any of them, let alone all of them? Well right off the bat, Rolen and Polanco are way too old to even consider.

Not sure where you get that impression... I'm liking Jackson and Castillo plus obviously Castro and Rizzo, but the rest of the lineup is meh and the rotation is far away from making the team competitive.

Valbuena isn't that bad. He's hit into a ton of bad luck this year, but he works the count, drives the ball to the opposite field, and is an excellent defender. I don't have a problem with him
