  1. LOL @ the strike 3 call that Angel Hernandez just gave to Shark
  2. 9-8 in night games this season. All the more reason for more of them at Wrigley.
  3. Umps reviewed a HR/double that was clearly a HR in Cleveland tonight and still got it wrong. Sad. http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?c_id=oak&content_id=26957341&topic_id=8878760
  4. Using Russell with 2 outs in the 7th and no one on base, and not pinch hitting Soriano or Hairston for Schierholtz have to be mentioned here.
  5. As bad as the pen was again, those DPs were really the difference.
  6. Soriano/Castillo/Hairston should be batting at some point.
  7. I know it's easy to say now, and Schierholtz has been good (and clutch) lately, but don't you use Hairston there? He hits a lot of fly balls, and is obviously much less apt to GIDP than a lefty vs. a LHP? Not as obvious a decision as the bullpen failures, but I think I would have send Hairston up.
  8. It's almost like when Valbuena is up there, the ball just flies out of the strike zone.
  9. Oh yes, because the come back victories have been so plentiful and the games blown by the bullpen have been so rare. I do like Rizzo going deep in the bottom half though, hopefully with a guy on base. Y'know, I'm starting to think you naming yourself after players slowly destroys them. Hmm... perhaps I should try "Yadier Fan"?

  11. Castro/Navarro DP innings were the killer today
  12. Yadier Molina: the gift that keeps on giving
  13. The fact that the rule sends Ransom back to first is the most asinine part.
  14. Seriously... with the pitcher's spot due up 2nd why not let Villanueva finish the inning? Mind-boggling
  15. Navarro has to be the most likely player in MLB to ground into a triple play, UGH. Got a feeling the pen's gonna need more than 1 run of insurance today.
  16. Sweeney in for Soriano and Ransom in for Valbuena today.
  17. It's amazing how good Gregg has been.
