If we win this and go on to win the World Series, the bottom of the 7th in yesterday's game will forever be the mystical occurrence that tilted the scales.

Wait, wasn't the first game 7-4? Yes but apparently if you come in for less than 3 outs and the tying run not on deck, you don't get a save.

Ultimate irony with Motte today as he gets 2 outs without trouble in game 1 without being awarded a save and then gives up 3 hits and a run in game 2 but gets a save. Yay rules.

aren't 2 of those against the cubs? yes i'm wondering why that's so odd. it would be like cardinal fans complaining we were on Fox and then ESPN 2 times w/in 4 days It's not like any of these people actually think about the quality of their complaining; it's just about the quantity of their misery. FOX is a regional thing. ESPN games are single national telecasts. Until the Cubs/Reds game a few weeks ago, all but one or two Sunday Night games had been Yankees or Cardinals.
