  1. Not directed at you, but it's funny if anybody suddenly thinks this offense is going to take off. Will probably be a lot like it was four days ago. But is it? They're due for better luck hitting with RISP for one. Sorry for this lazy response, but blah, blah, blah. No idea what this is supposed to mean, but between the rookies adjusting to the majors, more balls leaving the yard, and the RISP average coming around somewhat, there is every reason to believe the offense will be much improved in the 2nd half.

  3. The 2nd half is upon us the Cubs are in pretty good shape, 7 games over .500 and a game up on the 2nd wildcard spot. Additionally, they have one of the "easiest" 2nd half schedules in MLB. But as we all know too well, that often means nothing. That said, I kinda like the Cubs bats to come out of the break red-hot and put this team on a nice run. Just a feeling. Kyle Hendricks has been really good in his last three starts... http://www.bleachernation.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/kyle-hendricks-cubs-feature-300x225.png ...Julio Teheran has been pretty good in his last two (but against Philly and Milwaukee) http://scni.media.clients.ellingtoncms.com/gps/uploads/916964/web1_Julio-Teheran_t300.jpg Go Cubs!
  4. Too many high fly balls from Kris.
  5. Where? His dad is all over the place. Most of them were up and in.
  6. Kris told him to throw the ball there, just FYI.
  7. Our guys aren't douchey enough to win this thing.
  8. Not sure anyone is beating Joc.
  9. MLB got this one right and I'm pleasantly surprised.
  10. Take notes on how to broadcast a pitcher HR, Greg Brown! (His call of Burnett's homer last night was ridiculous)
  11. In case you were all wondering, Felix Doubront started for Toronto today, and got shelled. Castro lost.
  12. Mets are getting their [expletive] together. Need this W.
  13. Jake Arrieta has a good case that he should be an all-star and has been our true "ace" this season. He'll try to stop the losing streak at 3 against Jose Quintana, the least talented of the three lefties facing the Cubs this weekend. How about a feel good blowout win and then we can all have good vibes heading into the break? Get it done, Cubs. Here is a fun Cubs/White Sox memory from 2008: [bbvideo=560,315]http://m.mlb.com/chc/video/v2968467/ramirez-hits-a-walkoff-homer[/bbvideo]
  14. Pretty annoyed that Jung Ho Kang has become an above average player. Hopefully he Fukudomes out.
  15. For a so called "elite" starter, Lester gets rattled with guys on more than any pitcher I've ever seen.
