  1. that's because you're a lunatic who watches tons of baseball and still doesn't understand how it works I understand that when we had the bases loaded with 0 outs in the 8th down one, the likelihood of us winning was more than the likelihood of the Cardinals winning. I understand that when a guy is 25 for 25 in SB in his career, it's pretty damn unlikely he's going to get thrown out. And I even understand that in baseball, despite all of the likelihoods in the world, nothing is guaranteed. Were there A LOT of good signs for the Cubs in this game? Yes. Are the Cubs still a good team? Yes. Was this an extremely tough loss to swallow? Yes.
  2. holy [expletive] are you serious? this dude is amazing he never ceases to amaze me by somehow managing to shock me with the ridiculousness of the things he says and it's all genuine I guess it depends on how you define "worst." Was it not the most frustating, at least? Between the bad send in the 8th and Berry getting thrown out by a cold catcher for the first time in 26 attempts in the 9th, the Cardinals had absolutely no business winning this game. We should be 4 back. And if you want to take it farther and count those other 3 BS games, we should be no more than 1 back. The 2nd game of that DH sweep in July was the only game you can argue we "stole" from them, I guess. They've now stolen four. no, not even close. Cmon man, it's at least "close." I think only the Peralta game and the Goldschmidt game have left me more upset.

  4. Basically posted this exact thing minutes ago and was told to shut up. It's 4. Yes, the division should be ours.
  5. No way. Several have been worse. Only because with how big the game was. Good to see the fight though.
  6. Well this is now the worst loss of the season :( Please win today, Dodgers.
  7. Unbelievable. It had to happen now with a cold [expletive] catcher.
  8. Yes, the "timid Wrigley in the playoffs" narrative is a myth.
  9. Hopefully we pull this out, but between this game, the Lester game at Busch, the Peralta game, and that stupid game in April where we led 5-0 at Busch, this season series (and probably the division) was ours for the taking. In general, the tide is beginning to turn, but hopefully it's in the playoffs we get our redemption.
  10. I'm not sure how anyone could argue it was a good send.
  11. holy [expletive] you are all kinds of ridiculous man Well I think the first part is fair. The 2nd part is an exaggeration, but we're definitely not winning the division without taking this game.
  12. Wait... is Montero not due up now? Thanks for giving us the matchup, Matheny.
  13. Gary Jones may have just singlehandedly lost us this game and a shot at the division.
  14. It's amazing that no matter how much Bryant is prone to striking out, if he comes up in a big spot, he's so damn calm.
  15. Crappy pitch to swing at. It's probably gotta happen next inning.
  16. Someone needs to start a brawl. Screw this.
  17. Nice job, Tommy. Now this noise up, Cubs.
  18. Heyward suddenly becomes a douche. Ha.
