  1. I think he just appears out of nowhere if you say his name 3 times in a row. Wasn't that the basis of the Candyman movies that were supposedly set in Cabrini Green? Woo-Woo. He won't stop. Ever. LOL! Even getting hit by a car doesn't stop the man. He just keeps on coming like Jason in a Friday the 13th movie.
  2. Hawk, DJ & Sox marketing man Brooks Boyer Really? They aren't pissing me off as much as I remember from last year. Maybe they're waiting for the regular season. The are playing nice-nice because they want that Cubs cross-over cash. Boyer was promoting a game at the Cell with Sammy Sosa in April... I was thinking the same thing. They have done some nice things in the cell, unfortunately they have the area surrounding the park that fans have to deal with. All the cool stuff inside doesn't do squat if your fans gotta dodge bullets on the way to their car. I'm still waiting for the "Free bullet proof vests to the first 100 guests" promotion. I tell you what, if you want to feel skinny and in-shape go to a Sox game. One look around at the fans and you'll feel better about your health and your life. I think you're only talking about half of the Sox fan base. The other half are the inbred extended family of William Ligue and his son. They're pretty skinny (but then again, so are most crack heads and crack wh***s). Very true. Hard to see the skinny inbred's behind the tubby's.
  3. I guess Marquis looked great again today...
  4. I would be really surprised he he didn't make the bullpen. I think with Wood injured(what else is new) and Cotts looking terrible, he deserves to make the team. I also think Lou likes him. He'll make the team.

It's bascially the American version of Iraq in and around the Cell...Inside your dodging fists and beer cups and outside your dodging bullets.
  7. Nope, pitched this morning. Well, if you call it pitching.
  8. This is what the guy from bleedcubbieclue.com had to say.Dosent look good for Prior. I'm here to tell you it's unhinged. Prior threw four innings, fifty-nine pitches (only a little more than half of them, thirty-two, were strikes). He walked two, hit a batter, was constantly behind hitters, gave up two hits and no runs to a team consisting of players who will wind up spending this year playing for Tennessee and Daytona (some names I recognized: Dopirak, Fontenot, Spears, Simokaitis). The outs were hit fairly hard, and it was just not very impressive. There weren't any scouts with radar guns -- just one of the Cubs' minor leaguers behind the plate with one. I was able to see it while Jason Marquis (who was the opposing pitcher; he went today in this game because the Cubs wanted Angel Guzman to face the White Sox) was on the mound; Marquis was consistently at 90. But while Prior was throwing, this player (who I couldn't identify; he was wearing warmups) hid the gun so no one but him could see it. It didn't matter. It was easy to see that Marquis' fastball was popping into the catcher's glove; Prior's wasn't. Prior seemed to be dropping down his arm again -- that's a sign of something wrong, even though he and everyone else denies it. Looks like another year of Prior and Wood starting the season on the DL. Yep! No surprise here and for the first time in years, I can care less!
  9. He doesn't look like he's progressing right now. Just stagnet. Anyway back to the game...

  11. Any word on Prior today? I know he was pitching a minor league game..
  12. Are you sure it wasn't Pie? It was Floyd. It was Soriano. Sori back in LF eh?
  13. It was a nice job of hitting but that ball looked catchable. At least keep it in front Very catchable.
  14. 2 down and Gooz is working quickly...
  15. Now we have Ozzie talking! Man, I never thought I'd be missing Plesac.
  16. He'll get it. Again this is Lou not Dusty...
  17. Pie grounds out...To the bottom half of the 2rd.
