  1. I'll buy that. I don't. He was in great shape last year and started bad. So did a lot of pitchers that threw in the WBC. Great point. I forgot about that...
  2. I'll buy that. I don't. He was in great shape last year and started bad. So he gets away from the fast food joints when he heads south for the winter. How does this show commitment? Huh? Him being in shape isn't commitment?
  3. I can't believe Rothschild still has a job. I don't really think Rothschild is to blame for Z being a [expletive] headcase. Just sayin... And one could argue that Dusty's overuse may have more to do with Z's start than anything Larry has done. If Lilly, Marquis and Hill are examples of what Larry is capable of, then bravo. Especially if Marquis can hold it together...even the great Dave Duncan couldn't keep that guy pitching well. But he started the same way last year... If Z's performance last year was Larry's fault...than what's the problem? Z ended up with a very good year last year. The fact that it took Larry 5 weeks to figure out that Z's mechanics weren't right... LOL...maybe it just took 5 weeks to get a headstrong Zambrano to actually do what he's telling him. If Zambrano is your case for Larry being a bad pitching coach, I don't think you have much of a case. I didn't say he was a bad coach, I just found it odd last year he stated that Z mechanics weren't right in May, when my friends and I thought it was obvious in April. But that doesn't mean that Larry didn't know that in April too. I think you're assuming a lot. I'm only going by what larry stated in May and not April.

He was bad last April, but he wasn't this bad. 5.35 is still pretty bad...But yes he does suck more this year so far.

  9. It's a miracle we are only down by 2...
  10. I can't believe Rothschild still has a job. QFT
  11. I'm drinking a cold one as we speak, and from the looks of things keep'em coming...
  12. It's pretty obvious Z's mechanics are all screwed up. It's the same thing that happened last year and it took Rothschild a month to figure it out.
  13. Over the course of the season things tend to even out but as far as a single game goes, luck can play a pretty large factor. Do you disagree? Yes, luck plays a part in the game. No, the Cubs didn't lose yesterday because of bad luck. The BABIP for the Cubs from yesterday is indicitave of bad luck to me. But since it usually evens out in the end, I'm not particularly upset about dropping one here as we'll likely get lucky at some point in the future. Don't count on it. Luck and the Cubs don't go together...
  14. Any word on what's going on with him? I haven't heard any word about the tests?
  15. I'm on board, adding an ARod, moving him back to SS and making Izturis a bat boy would get the Cubs closer to playoffs than having Z ever will. Count me in! I think we would score enough runs to support a rotation of Hill, Lilly, Marquis, Guz, and Miller... Althought that rotation is quite scary.
  16. It's not really his fault. We were never going to score...EVER! Someone was bound to give up a run.
  17. Well I wasted another 5 hours following these bums! I'm done with this team!!!!! See you guys tomorrow... :x
  18. Well the script is complete. Another 1 run loss.
  19. He'll swing for the fences and either K or fly out...
  20. Well, it was a nice game. See you guys tomorrow!
