    Was Cherry really doing that bad? In 8 appearances he had a 2.8 ERA....I know we can't recall him yet, but why'd he go down? Obviously it wasn't b/c they Wanted Fontenot here for much time (I guess just to cover DeRosa?)...seems strange. I think DLEE is headed for the DL. Just a feeling. Nah, I don't think so. He took batting practice and he was sliding into bases. I think they are just giving him another day... He's expected to play at some point this weekend. Good to hear.

    Is Toby Hall back yet? If not, who is their backup? Hall was called up yesterday. I only caught the tail end of it but AJ was not happy with Ozzie. Something is brewing there.

    K'd the side vs. the Brewers. FTW, IIRC Actually Farnsworth got the win and Wellemeyer got the save. Yeah, that was that 16 or 17 inning game where our pitchers threw a ton of K's. I miss those days. Yep. The days of the power arms. Didn't Patterson break that game open with a homerun in that game?

    Why couldn't we have rode the hot hand for once and stuck with Ohman? I know that Dempster hasn't been getting regular work lately, but when Ohman has struck out 4/5 batters he's face and he typically struggles why not let him go on? The first batter of the 9th (Newhan) was a lefty anyways so it isn't like there was a bad matchup. Ohman could have possibly neutralized the threat of Beltran's LH bat lurking as well...the decision just doesn't make sense to me. Well you didn't expect Dempster to blow a 4 run lead.
